So yeah, didn't quite turn out the way we had planned it. I came up with this hair brained idea months ago and made the fatal error of bringing Faith into the mix. (It was mostly to insure that myself and Lyr didn't get banned lol...low and behold our success!). I'm kinda tempted to post myself and Lyri's yahoo conversation when we realised we being double duped...it's just a tad hilarious.

Kudos to Buffy and Faith, it is very true...you can't out evil evil.

I won't give up trying though 😀

And thanks to everyone who joined in, good sports lol

Now, I have a read through the other thread and a few names have been taken...some have made the enemies list.

Watch your backs...I lie in waiting! 😛

I think if they wanted an April Fools prank that everyone fell for, it would have to be set up over a week or weeks of time and involve a bunch of different members; from the top of the administration to even the newest members. But that, of course, would take a lot of time and effort.

Either way LMFAO...I'm sure alot of it has some choice language though lol
 
I am proud to say I did not fall for it.

My keenly honed fandom instincts have developed to the point where I can detect even subtly OOC behavior from characters... or people... I'm familiar with.

It was very clever to sell the real prank as a reaction to a failed prank... that introduces doubt and means you can't rely on the April 1 date as proof that it's a hoax.
 
I think this prank was better than last year because instead of having Kean shoved down our throats, she was sent packing. 🙂
 
^^ Same here sweetescape. And I completely forgot it was Aprils Fools and still didn't realise until someone else had commented about it. So yeah, I totally fell for it. Nice work guys 🙂

Good prank, guys. The second part got me. At first, I was in the mod chat going, "This has to be April Fools! I don't wanna believe that of any of our members!" But by the end, when it went on for so long and everyone was getting all mean and riled up, you totally had me! I was talking to my dad about stolen bracket designs and going all terminator mod in the first Lyri and Kean thread.

I didn't know how you'd top last year, but you did. You soooo did. I was April Fooled and it was fun!
 
I've been here long enough to know never to fall for these April Staff pranks anymore. 😛

However, I was fooled at the beginning though with the fake BB site.

Yep, we got majorly punk'd.

Honestly, I NEVER saw this coming. When Kean, Faith and I came up with the fake boards idea, Kean and I thought it was just going to be a Mod thing, and that B would have her own board-wide April Fools...shows how much we know!

When B took this to the main boards, and was telling us how upset she was, Kean and I got MAJORLY worried. We really did think our joke had backfired. We didn't find out we'd been double-crossed until minutes before the ban...shoulda seen it coming though, really. As the boss ladies said, you can't out evil evil.

Loads of hugs to everyone who had our back, and those who supported us.

And mucho apologies to everyone we duped. I'm so sorry you got upset.
