Kendra in general and question.

So what did you think of her?
I think she was a very interesting character, but that the accent was a bit dodgy! Lol 😉
The actress has been around! Saved by the Bell the new class (Megan), dawsons creek, sister sister (rhonda)!
Question: I dont understand how she was trained all her life to be the slayer when buffy got told as she was called ??? She talks of being prepared all her life in her tribe for the duty yet buffy was the complete opposite! ??? I thought it was random?!

I think they said at one point that sometimes they could predict that someone was going to be a slayer, but other times they had no idea who was gonna be called. Also, I think some tribes who're more aware of the demon world and stuff would realise, but Buffy was just brought up by her parents, who wouldn't know anything about it.

I kinda agree and think that tribe part makes sense, but i dont think that the "sometimes we know who it will be, sometimes we dont" idea makes much sense (im not saying youre wrong! Im just saying that if its right, its not really well thought out, as far as i can see knowing what i know!).
Wht did you think of kendra?
Can i just say, off the topic, I LOVE THAT 70S SHOW!!!

Yeh, I know what you mean, that might not be right cos normally they do think stuff out properly and logically. I liked Kendra, she was cool, but I preferred Faith, Kendra did stuff by the book too much, she followed all the rules, i think the other slayers are better cos they're more creative.
and lol, i love that 70s show, it's one of my favourite programmes along with buffy+ angel 🙂

if you remeber in the (oh-so-dodgy) buffy movie
they kinda talk about how it was a 'terrible' mistake that she was so unprepared and that shed missed out on all her training
and in several of the buffy books they talk about slayers being raised in battle trained from birth etc. Buffy missing her calling was an accident i guess
and te first sign (among oh so many others) that the watchers council its a crumbling shambles

Back to topic - so you are saying, lily, that all slayers are supposed to know from birth but she was an accident? Again, a valid theory, but it doesnt sound right that, say, a 10 year old living in modern america would beold she is the slayer and training should commence for her daily life or death battle! 16 is young enough!
Lol, proving people wrong is always fun! Lol, but i cant prove it, i just wanna know the truth and my writings are just theories!
I agree, lindsey. Part fo the reason kendra died so young (even for a slayer!) was that to survive, you actually cant stick to all the rules rigidly - you need an edge of creativity, initiative and flair!

I think another reason Kendra was killed is that she was so new at the job when she came up against Drusilla, who was not only vastly experienced but a real wildcard, too.

Yeah, i agree, thats another reason. But i think that flair, initiative, creativity that buffy has . . . you have it or you dont.

well kendras people believed that 'the calling' or being the chosen one was an important honour which is why she was trained from birth
so part of the fact that buffy was skipped for early training is prolly cause our society totally frowns on anything or anyone supernatural or 'special'

Yeah, kendra lacked the 'x-factor'. Buffy said it herself, "a slayer needs to know how to do things like improvise" (not exact, but you know what i mean! 😉)!
Lol, i ::heart:: it how shows share actors too - i found another thing that bianca lawson was in! So far we have saved by the bell, sister sister, dawsons creek and buffy. I found a new one by accident the other day! I saw her in . . . . in . . . oh, s***, i cant remember! Any help?! Erm . . . . erm . . . omg, i cant belive ive forgotten!
