Kendra's Last Battle

At the end of Becoming Part 1, the library is attacked by a group of vampires. Cordelia flees, Willow is knocked out, Xander gets his arm broken, and Giles gets taken away. Kendra was the only real fighter. My question is: had Drusilla not shown up at the last moment, do you think Kendra would have survived? Do you think Kendra was strong and skilled enough to take on a group of three or four vampires at once?

She held her own against Buffy so I think she would have been ok against a bunch of weak vamps.

I think she would have been fine, she was a slayer for around a year, and had been in training for years, so I think she could have handled regular vampires.

Kendra would have been fine. Kendra had the potential to be a great slayer if she appeared here and there on the show. Drusilla was too much for her, but regular vamps? She would have got them easily.

Yup if Drusilla didn't come in and do her...weird eye thingy...I think she could've took the other vamps. Smh poor Kendra

Kendra was doing fine until she ran out of weapons, and it seemed to me that she was being pressed so hard by the remaining vampires that even grabbing a broken chair leg would have been difficult. Considering the fact that a Slayer can't kill a vampire without a stake, a blade, or fire, I would say that, even without Dru's unfortunate appearance, she was definitely in trouble. Add to that, running away was out of the question, since doing so would have meant leaving the others unprotected.

Kendra was a great fighter, but, given the circumstances as they existed there in the library, I would have put her chances at no more than 50/50, and that would be dependant on Buffy getting there in time.
