Kennedy vs. Rhona

It seems like a lot of people didn't like Kennedy. I can sort of see why. She spoke her mind and questioned authority whenever she didn't see the point but she wasn't the biggest Potential that I had a problem with. That award goes to Rhona.

In case anyone forgot, Rhona is the black Potential who says "Ding dong, the witch is dead" when they kick Buffy out of the house (which I was glad Dawn told her to shut up...even though Dawn kicked Buffy out too). The minute Rhona arrived, all she did was complain about how why should they fight when they're going to die anyways or what's the point in trying to defend ourselves against the Ubervamp or yadda yadda yadda. She gives up so easily.

Kennedy on the other hand was willing to fight for her life and not give up. There was a scene in "Showtime" when Kennedy hands Rhona a sword and she asks "What's the point?" and Kennedy replies, "It's right here. You stick it in the bad guys." Say what you will about Kennedy but at least she was a fighter, unlike some of the other Potentials.

I couldn't stand Rhona either she was always picking at something
i liked kennedy alot, i like the way she was, like another anya or cordy, said what she throuht. when she was wrong she said it like when she said they made a mistake for following buffy. i like the way she brought willow out, she needed to move on and kennedy helped her.

Agree completely. Since when is speaking the truth and questioning authority a BAD thing. That's called HONEST and it ROX.
Yeah I never minded Kennedy. Rona, i hate. I mean She's in Sunnydale a few minutes, and Buffy saves her life. And from then on it's nag, moan, bitch. Ungrateful little brat, Buffy shouldn't have bothered. 🙂
 
I didn't connect with any of them, therefore I could've cared less that they died. There were too damn many of them to have any concern. All I was thinking when one bit it was, "Awesome! Now maybe Buffy can get some of the bathroom time she longed for or Xander could take a shower without a teenage girl walking in." They never drew me in so... ehhh... all I was worried about were the core characters, and to be honest, I felt a little gipped.
 
I'd say stick em in a room... hopefully just as Rona is swinging the sword at Rona's head; Kennedy pulls the trigger on the crossbow and pierces her neck a split second before her own head is decapitated... thus resulting in a S7 devoid of the worst characters.

I say screw the potentials. I mean who the hell were they too question the faith of THE greatest warrior there?

When they have trouble finding the pointy end of a stake.
 
As far as Potentials go, I really didn't mind Kennedy. I mean, yes she was annoying, but as I said, for a Potential she could have been worse. She could have been Rona. But no, it's Kennedy-as-Willow's-girlfriend that drives me, and most fans I think, up the wall.

Rona, though, couldn't stand her. I kept hoping she'd die.

And man, when she said "ding dong, the witch is dead" somebody should have slapped her. Even though what Dawn did was stupid in kicking Buffy out, at least Dawn told Rona to shut her mouth. what a hussy.
 
I used to HATE Kennedy but after watching through season seven tonnes of times, I began to like her more and more. Well, not LIKE her, but no longer loathe her, either. I never really did like Rona, though. I thought I was the only one, to be honest. She got on my nerves a lot. I really wanted her to die; ah well. And she was a right brat aswell, I mean all of the potentials had a lot going on for them with the bringers chasing them and what not, so that's not really an excuse. I really dislike her.
 
I didn't mind Kennedy by herself, but when they kind of forced the Kennedy/Willow relationship on us, I got pissed and thought there was no need for that. I never liked Rona at all... I liked Vi and Amanda a lot and I was really sad when Amanda died. 🙁 I might have to go watch "Chosen" now- y'all got me in the mood! 🙂
 
I liked both Kennedy and Rona. Why? Because they didn't mindlessly followed Buffy. They questioned Buffy's authority. And the fans didn't like that.

I never understood why these same fans expected the Potentials to follow Buffy like a group of blind mice, while at the same time, cheered Buffy whenever she questioned authority figures.

This attitude seemed to smack of hypocricy to me. Just as Dawn's reaction to Rona's
"wicked witch" comment seemed hypocritical. If I had been Rona, I would have told Dawn to take her "shut up" comment and stick it up her ass.
 
Questioning Buffy's authority didn't matter at all to me. Hell, there were times in the past when other characters had and I was like "Go Xander/Willow/whoever"... I just hated all the whining and complaining all the time, and thought the final season of the show should have been more focused on the core Scoobies... Just my opinion, though. 🙂
 
for me it's Kennedy just because I actually like her. I don't get why people hate her cause yes in comparisno to Tara, she is not half as good but she was still good to Willow and to me she really cares

I never really mind Rona that much but I couldn't care less if she would survive or die

i didn't mind kennedy either. and they had her be with with willow to help her move on from tara, but i still had a little bit of a problem with it. rona, however, i despised for all of the reasons that have been said haha.
 
I also liked Kennedy but Rona just annoyed me
Okay, kennedy has also her bad sides but the fact that she would give her life to save the others or the world earns respect (on my opinion)
They are all almost slayers and have to save the world from the evil, that's their job, even if it's hard, but they must think positive and not:it doesn't make sence we are going to die anyway
