I get sad when a classic Trek actor dies - thought I would share this with you.

LOS ANGELES — Ricardo Montalban, the Mexican-born actor who became a star in splashy MGM musicals and later the wish-fulfilling Mr. Roarke in TV's "Fantasy Island," died Wednesday morning at his home, a Los Angeles city councilman said. He was 88.

Montalban's death was announced at a meeting of the city council by president Eric Garcetti, who represents the district where the actor lived. Garcetti did not give a cause of death.

"The Ricardo Montalban Theatre in my Council District — where the next generations of performers participate in plays, musicals, and concerts — stands as a fitting tribute to this consummate performer," Garcetti said later in a written statement.

KHAAAN!!!!!!

I take absolute umbrage at the change of this title.
It is capitalised because capital letters mean shouting and it was simply depicting a classic, well loved and known, moment in this distinguished actors career.

"He tasks me - he tasks me and I shall have him! I'll chase him 'round the moons of Nibia and 'round the Antares maelstrom and 'round Perdition's flames before I give him up!

"From hell's heart, I stab at thee . . . for hate's sake I spit . . . my last breath at thee!"

yep I'm a geek.

Generally I don't give two flying [expletive deleted] about this sort of thing, but that ws an iconic moment of cinema, one that everyone instantly resognises, and it is in honour and out of respect for someone who has sadly passed away. Feels like a slight against the man himself.

this is an iconic moment in music

EDIT:
SpoonsAreCool agrees: My cat was called Choo Choo.
That is just begging for a comment but I will not succumb.. oh man.. resist!

A sad day indeed. More and more of the Classic Trek icons take their ultimate shore leave. 🙁
