Kinda weird...

Dont you think Btvs is kinda weird?Dont get me wrong...The weird thing(and angel) is what makes the show interesting....But....Like how the writers came up with all the stuff....Different demons, the hell mouth, and something weird going down in ever episode....I would never be able to do that....
 
Absolutely it's weird! That's what makes Buffy/Angel so wonderful to watch. It's like being in a completely different universe...that still has all the good stuff from this one! Some people have those creative juices to make up stuff off the top of their heads, and some don't. Thank God Joss does!!!!!

I also think that there is a great "cheese" factor to the episodes. I really love cheese. ;-) That is what makes them so fun.
 
Agreed. Most creative and at the same time semi realistic when it comes to the characters emotions and realitonships. I haven't seen a better show on television (cept for Angel whichis equally as good and creative) And it created a whole new genre and formula for other shows to follow I.E "Charmed", "Roswell", Even Birds Of Prey used a little bit of the Buffy formula and slang (The phrase Big Bad was used more than once in it's thankfully short lived season). I'm sure there's a handful of shows that owes it's exsitance solely to Joss and his creation and with most of them their whole season couldn't live up to an episode of Buffy or Angel (cept maybe "Beer Bad")
 
I want to eat Joss' brain and gain all his knowledge! lol!
Ive tried so hard to come up with a series, and its sooo hard to get everything just right.
 
Currently working on something of my own that requires the level of originality that Buffy had and Angel has...it is not an easy task 😀
 
yeah the creators have a very remarkble fanatsy! to just come up with all of the things they come up with! it's always cool toom see all the things they ome p with! 🙂
 
Yeah, Joss has an amazing imagination, I'm astounded by what he did !!!
I mean, for example for Hood, he thought to him long be4, when we saw Spike kill her mom.
Of course, some stuff r "add" we see it, it's coz they didn't thought to it during the few first season, so, they have to make some change hoping that nobody will see them, but they can't think to everything, so we forgive them for that.
They, n particulary Joss, had done a such good work with this show !!!

For my imagination is very important and I think I would do good for like 3 seasons-that's why I admire these people!!!
 
They are nice writers. I told my sister what makes Buffy/Angel so cool is the writers. And every character is more screwed up than me.
 
I'm not saying the writers and joss aren't creative and imaginative, because they obviously are... but remeber that the tv show came from the movie... so a lot of the story came from that. I always wondered if the character Pike, on the movie has any inspiration to Spike? or if their names were jsut coincidence.
 
i havnt seen the movie....i dont think i wanna...buffy wouldnt be the same without willow xander spike giles and all them!
 
LOL but the movie came first! the movie is pretty good if you're into cheesy old school movies. HaHa. Vampyres in the movie, dont burst into dust, they just fall to the ground, its funny to hear them thud, you're like what the...? LOL... I definately think they took the good stuff from the movie, and made it better, and left out the stupid and cheesy stuff!
 
I didn't like the movie much because I thought it was way too cheesy. Buffy is my favorite show of all time by a pretty wide margin and the key for me is that it was such a great blend of drama and comedy instead of just being one or the other. Of course there was the action too but it was the mixture of drama and humor that really got me hooked and kept me coming back. A lot of shows can nail the drama or the comedy but I think it's rare to find one that can do both so well. Obviously a lot of the credit for that has to go to the writers but Buffy was a very well acted show as well. It takes great actors and great writers to make a truly great show.

I don't often come across a show where the characters begin to feel like they're part of my family but that's how I feel about Buffy. That's why I can watch the episodes over and over without getting bored. That's why I really cry every time I see "The Gift" and " Becoming Pt. 2" and I at least get misty-eyed watching a handful of other episodes. I've never cried while watching a movie and only one other TV show has ever brought a tear to my eye(that would be the ER episode when Lucy dies.)
