Premise:
Chef Jack Bourdain found enormous success at a young age, but his culinary genius also led to a lifestyle of boozing, womanizing and drugs. After hitting rock bottom and deciding to sober up, the only job he could get was slopping soggy pasta for the masses at a tacky opera-themed restaurant. Out of the blue, Jack is offered an opportunity to get back in the game as head chef at a top New York restaurant. There's just one problem: the owner gives Jack a mere 48 hours to fully staff his kitchen and prepare to dazzle over 300 customers -- including the food critic for the New York Times (who also happens to be a jilted ex). Jack hastily assembles a renegade crew of colleagues from his past, including chefs Steven Daedalus, Seth Klein and Teddy Wong. Also along for the ride are Tanya the hostess, a rookie pastry chef named Jim, and the owner's daughter -- the gorgeous Mimi, who can't wait for Jack to fail.

I was reading somewhere (can't remember where) where they were saying good stuff about this one, before it was even picked up.

Also there's either a problem or an opportunity here, depending on how well your VCR works. It plays opposite the new Alyson Hannigan comedy, How I Met Your Mother.

Doesn't sound like my kinds of thing, and there's no gaurantee it will get to the UK anyway. Bujt it's really good to see Nicholas back in a regular series. 🙂 Lets hope they don't ignore him like Buffy s7 did. 🙁

I like the name Seth, so yayness. Problem is I saw a promo pic for this show and some guy was holding a big slab of meat, not a fan, must say. Then again I watch Nip/Tuck and am not a fan of surgery scenes.
