AAAAAARRRRRRGH!

Whay does Allyson's new show come on at the same time as Nick's new show (Kitchen Confidential)? Am I forced to chose between Xander and Willow? For those of us that can't afford TIVO, this is a dillemma. Do both shows start in the fall? Someone at the network is going to pay for this...

I watched both and i really dont know which i like better i think i'mma need a VCR..... record one and watch the other then go back and watch the recorded one lol

I have not watched Kitchen confidential, just HIMYM, but I think I will be switching, cause HIMYM is not doing it for me. I just thought i would support Alyson. *sighs* I was hoping it would be terrific.

I'm one of those that has Tivo ... and I can't complain. Personally, I think HIMYM is funnier than KC, but KC is a little smarter and will probably last longer. HIMYM will run out of things to talk about soon, I'm afraid.

HIMYM is ten times better than Kitchen Confidential. I love Darren Star but i think he's lost whatever he had with SATC. I officially made my choice last night. I watched the full show of HIMYM and didn't even flip back to KC b/t commercials. It had me at "eyepatch". :: directo

I think I agree with you here, not sure. I have yet to sit through an entire ep of either show: I don't think either is stellar. I think HIMYM is trying to be a laugh-out-loud funny, conventional sitcom"”but it's just not. It's just kind of old-fashioned wacky, not especially fresh or sharp. Just comparing it to the clever banter in Buffy/Angel and it's weak by comparison.

KC does seem smarter, more subtle in what it's trying to achieve. More credible dialogue and quips from the characters. But it's not incessantly jokey like a regular sitcom. It's got the advantage of being filmed in the drama format"”more flexible. It can go from wacky sight gags to subtle close-ups . I get the sense it's like the book it's based on"”sort of a memoir, slice-of-life kinda thing. But it's simply not very captivating, interesting"”so far anyway. Don't really care about the Bradley Cooper character yet.

I've yet to watch Kitchen Confidential, but I really am enjoying HIMYM... I think Aly perform's incredibly in it... And it's nice to see her again...

Comparable to Friends... I don't know about that yet. I think that it has the potential, but it needs the fan base... Fans made Friends what it was... If more people latch onto HIMYM it could become the newest BIG THING!

..The new "Friends" maybe.... Thanks to Cordelia, I know the time, and I've seen it once. What season is it on? How long has it been on?

I'm not in school tuday 'cause I'm sick, and I've finally been able to watch two episodes of HIMYM. Have to say that show is a lot better than Kitchen Confidential. I will probably keep watching both of them when I've got the time but seeing Aly in HIMYM is just so very awesome... And I'll just never feel that way about Nic and Kitchen Confidential, hm..

Well from the episodes I saw it hasn't found it's standing and looking at the ratings it hasn't found an audience either. Most importantly TV is money and FOX isn't really one to give a fledging show time to grow unless critics are praising it left and right (see Arrested Development). Iono it might work better on a different network. I wonder if they shopped it to HBO and they passed? Also it really doesn't have much competition...atleast not from well established shows. Oh and didn't FOX take it off air just to run reruns of Prison Break at some point? Not really a sign of a network thats planning on keeping a show around.
