your experiences with know it alls...either in class...real life...

there's this dude in my english class that just like spouts out known information that he thinks is like ground breaking...this dude has this huge beer belly...wears tight shirts....and has a goatee...and he isn't cool...he just interrupts the professor whenever he wants...and takes up valuable class time that the proff can be talking bout...
 
LOL we had this same kinda guy last year he was all smart in the begining of the year he'd be yelling out correcting the teacher and all then he did the same at the end of the year and got everything wrong it was rather funny.... but of course he was mean to me so i could careless....
 
I've got nothing against them, if they really know what they are talking about. What I hate are people who think they know and tell everybody stuff that isn't even correct. And then there are those who correct those who are correct and don't shut their mouth after they have been proven wrong - they are really really annoying.
 
Oh the Know-It-All! Yes I have had MANY experiences with this type of animal.

One woman I worked with, I swear, everytime I would open my mouth to talk she'd be spewing something or other...correcting me, arguing with me....it was QUITE irritating. Now I don't talk to her! 🙂
 
oh people like that are innoying!! last year in IT, this guy, he was about 30-40, and he was such a show of, and he used to ask the proffesors questions, and when they answered him he rolled his eyes, (But he failed the course and had to take it over..haha)
 
LOL guess he wasn't as smart as he thought he was!!!! That must have been a rude awakening! 🙂
 
Can't participate in this topic, as I am a Buffy know-it-all. Sometimes, I go back to old posts of mine, and can't believe how arrogant I am 😉 Just ask nerd4hire...I'm sure he'd agree 😀
 
It's different if you know alot about a subject(s) and being a know-it-all in that particular subject(s).

The know-it-all I'm referring to is the kind of person who would tell you you were wrong or talk over you on a subject they know absolutely NOTHING about. That drives me NUTS! 🙂
 
Oh, there's lot's of them, but I think we all have this, some more then other, but everybody has some.

classes with like no know it alls are cool...classes with know it alls suck...cause that dude is always acting all superior to the prof...even though he usually gets dirshed on the test...lol...usually by me...

i remember last semester...there were these 4 mainland people...pretty much they were acting like they were hella cool cause they knew it all and surfed...even though they weren't surfas...so pretty much on like the last exam....i finished the exam first....beat them... i know it irked one of the gurls cause she was like all bragging that like she was wasting time coming to this test cause she was going to dirsh it...lol..
 
i think in the right situation we can all be know it alls... it goes under the same thing; that under the riht situation, we can all become killers...LOL if you know what i mean...

I think it's cool to see Know it alls fail, or beat them.. that's cool, specially when you're not one your self and are one of the people the know it alls like to show off too!!

n my class in High school, almoste everyone there was friend, and know it alls.... you can imagine how far away from them i stayed!! *laughs* i' glad that's OVER and i never want to see them again! *laughs*
 
thats a good thought xia...very rarely i become a know it all...but when i notice it...i usually spit out a crude joke to get me out of that stigma...lol...

lol...i don't miss my high school...don't get me wrong...if i were in that situation again...i would do stuff differently....but i would never want to go back...it was so taxing to my soul...there were days where i felt like dying...so damoralized that my life had come to memorizing spanish words every 2 days and a geometry theorems every 4 days...that was just for 2 classes...i hated school...
 
At uni I've found the people who were know it alls are the ones who have also dropped out/ failed and doing retakes. At work I tend to become a bit of a know it all with regards to law; we all had to red and sign this document, when I made this throw away comment how if we had to sign it we should retain a copy for our own records; ended up everyone refusing to sign until they had two copies; a lot of the olders staff think they know it all, and I feel this compulsive urge to correct them where I know they're wrong 😀
 
Sometimes know-it-alls are berable SOMETIMES, i think its hilarous when there Not-Know-It-Alls and they get everything wrong!!! But they try so hard, sometimes youve got to feel sorry 4 them, na not really tempory insanity
 
I have had many encounters with that type. I lived with one for 5 years and it can be a good thing but I worked with one that was SO ANNOYING about it! I would make quick lists of stuff that had to be done and she would try to give me spelling lessons over STUPID stuff. I'd just say- hey, you knew what I meant right- Well, yeah...- Then SHUT UP and work! 😛 She was ok otherwise. My best guy friend is also one and I love him but I can only take small doses before I get bitchy with him. I don't mind the occasional correction but CONSTANT nitpicking crap is SO NOT cool! I just wanna beat em up and carve misspelled words all over their bodies! ::evil::

You scare me honey, you really do. 😀

I have a few friends who think they know it all; Ben is one. He corrects us girls on musical taste (apparently I have none whatsoever; not that he knows what music I like. He ate his words when I stood up and sang Dido in font of the whole pool hall, and not only did I have credible musical taste, but could sing. Mwahaha) he corrects our fashion tastes (from the boy who lives in gig tshirts and black jeans, all of which are minging) our seminar answers and legal notes (lemme seee; he worked all year and is having to resit modules. I didn't work and don't have to)

So yeh, I get on well with him; so long as he doesn't speak too much 😀
 
Well you know what? There are Know it alls everwhere? Got it? now you Know! Cause if you Know a Know it all then thats all you'll need to know. Cause know it alls, know it all thats why theyre called Know it alls....I don't think thats the politically correct term.
 
people like this are soo annoying!! there is this girl in my class who is such a know-it all and i hate her!! sorry..that was mean...but she is annoying
