Knox on Buffy

I knew lol. Dunno if anybody else did, though. 😀

I think that I liked him better as Holden. Holden seemed honest and agreeable, whereas Knox was... Icky. 😛 Although my main problem with Knox was probably that he kept getting between Fred and Wes, but still. 😀

It is interesting, though. Woodward must be a good actor, Holden and Knox never seem similar at ALL in my mind.

I think he's a great actor. He's so likeable, even after knowing what Knox becomes, I still can't help but like him during rewatches, lol.

& I liked Holden too when I watch CWDP.

Yeah I knew. 😀 I liked him a lot better in "Conversations With Dead People", mostly because he was Wesley's competition for Fred in "Angel" and I wanted him out of the way. 😛

Yeah, he flat-out told Buffy his intentions. "I'm here to kill you, not judge you." lol. As Knox, well, it's hard to argue that he was much more deceptive. 🙁

Holden was awesome. Knoxie was annoying. And I don't feel anything about his character in Firefly. Also, I think Jonathan's voice sounds drunk all the time. :silly:

Love Holden. And as ScoobyGroupie said he's one of the few people that have been on all three shows. I know at least two others.

Oh he's great as Holden, though I really like him as Knox too (until well, I guess you can sort of guess when I stopped liking him there). Though I think he's awesome in Firefly as well. A very likeable actor 😀

I have to hold my hands up and say that the name Holden is not even ringing a bell for me. It has been quite a while since i've seen this season, so I didn't realise he was in it either. Obviously I remember him in Angel and Firefly but for some reason I just cannot place him in Buffy.

He's one of those characters that I liked so much on BtVS that whereever I see him next, he will always be Holden Webster to me. 🙂

Joss seems to have particular actors who he likes to work with, and casts them in whatever he's working on at the moment, like this guy and Nathan Fillion, who was in not only all three series, but also played Captain Hammer opposite Dr Horrible. (Too bad "Dollhouse" didn't stay on long enough, or he would have undoubtedly made it a clean sweep)

Yup, I knew about this. And his character did make for some funny moments, and some revelations about Buffy, but I really don't like the way Psychologists are handled in TV Shows. There's a difference between studying Psychology (or in the US, I guess taking some Psych courses), and being a therapist. The difference is about 2 years of very pricey training. /rant over

Huh, I guess I'm the only one who doesn't like the actor? I found all three of his Whedonverse characters really grating and annoying. Especially in Firefly - if I'm rewatching the series I'll miss out The Message.

I do like his conversation with Buffy in CWDP, it helps her realise some things, but he comes across so... patronising and annoying in all of his Whedony incarnations, IMO.

He strikes me as being like Tom Lenk in that, while he's no doubt an 'actor', whatever that means, I get the sense that he's mostly playing himself - that if you happened to meet him in real life, he'd have pretty much the same personality as Holden or Knox.
