When you truly care about another human being it's very painful to see them fall... to see them unhappy... to see them suffer and not live up to their talent, nor see their true personality - eclipsed perpetually by substance addiction. Over the 16 years I've known Nick, I've seen him suffer and smile. Smile and suffer. This weekend he's 90 days sober and struggling, but truly present, awesome, and pulling his shit together. I hope this industry shows him the love that you, all his fans have. He's one talented guy.
