What are your thoughts on the original Buffy actress? Have you seen her in anything else?

I don't know a lot about her, if I have seen her in other things I can't recall it.

She was in Early Edition and while I don't remember her specifically, I used to love that show so much.

She was hilarious in a minor role in Sandler's Big Daddy and played another minor role in Dude, Where's My Car?.

Finally, from her IMdB page (yes, I looked her up) it seems there's a bit of a weird 'crossover' happening as she has done 3 episodes of David's new show, Seal Team.

Woman, don't do that! I read the headline and I thought of crap she passed away or something. I've seen her in a few things, remember her best from Big Daddy, Flowers in the Attic and of course, Buffy. To me she is the quintessential Buffy; in terms of attitude and all.

I thought the same thing, and I was sad considering how recently we lost Pike :(
I like her a lot. She was in the Chase.
I thought of that after I posted. That was an interesting movie. Haven't seen it since forever, surely it must still hold up as all they are doing is sitting in a car and driving in circles.

Flea has been in a lot of movies. I might have to look at his IMDB to see how many. I was surprised to see him in Baby Driver and he did a great (well, for him) job in it. edit: he wasn't in as many as it seems. Maybe I have just seen everything he was in! That's woeful.

Didn't he voice Donny in the Wild Thornberries?
She's awesome. But Twitter often removes her tweets because she's politically conservative. (Yes, they do that to people!) She also has a mouth on her! I follow her on social media. She's so real, and so blunt. I love this girl.

She played Kristy Boner (LOL) in "Dude, Where's My Car?" and she was just gorgeous. And funny.

@DeadlyDuo I have no idea what a Donny in the Wild Thornberries is. I do know what a Donny in Big Lebowski is, and yes, Flea was in that movie.

Okay, I want Donnie going crazy as my ringtone! Just look at all the high-mindedness I am exposed to thanks to the Buffy-Boards.

Other than the Buffy movie, I've only seen her in the original film adaptation of Flowers In The Attic. She was pretty terrible but that was more due to a terrible script and bad direction.

I actually quite like her take on Buffy, I think she does what she can with the shallow characterisation and I find her quite endearing in the role.

She was okay as Buffy. The film wasn't as good as it could have been, but she did fine with the role that was lighter and sillier.

Sarah was obviously the better Buffy. Not only did she get better material, but I think she suited the role better as she was more vulnerable and had a slighter build which you need for the character who is kind of like a Spider-Man type, IE deceptively weak looking.

Still credit to Kristy she introduced the role. I know that she is friends with a lot of the cast from the tv show. There is a great panel of her, James Marsters, Amber Benson, Mark Metcalf and Claire Kramer all together on youtube, and there is a famous one of her with Charisma and Julie Benz (I think that was when Charisma first mentioned what a douchebag Joss was to her on Angel LOL.)

She's grown on me over the years. Still think the Buffy movie is pretty much trash. But she's solid in it. Besides that I've only seen her in The Chase I think.

A couple of years ago, when I asked several Buffyverse actors if they'd give BB a shout out on Twitter, Kristy was one of the the first to do it (along with Clare and Amber). She was so sweet about it, and I'll never forget that.

When I get home from work, I'll look for those tweets and post them again.

I think she's great. I think the Buffy movie is well on its way to cult classic status, I think it's remembered a lot more fondly than a lot of people will admit or indeed give it credit for and the main reason for that is Kristy Swanson's performance.

I'm glad there's a clear disparity between movie-Buffy and TV-Buffy, if only to remind us how good Kristy Swanson was and keep her incomparable to Sarah Michelle Gellar.

This. Exactly. And that's why I say that when/if, they reboot it again, it was to be totally different than Gellar's Buffy 2.0. There's nothing wrong with having three different types of Buffys and being able to appreciate all of them for what they did well.

I don't think even SMG could have saved that train wreck 😛 The only way it will become a cult classic for me is as a guilty pleasure.

I loved and love the movie. Were it not for the movie I probably would have never watched the show. Certainly not the pilot episode. Were it not for the movie and the goodwill it had in my head, I would have never stuck with some of those cheesy first season episodes.
