Kurt Cobain

He kind of dropped out of the world for a while, was kind of... broken for a while, didn't do much... Now he has a pretty productive life, he's married, has a good job and he is the frontman of a band, that's actually pretty good... And the Nivana influence can be heard.

That sounds great! I had a hunch that whatever he was doing in life would have something to do with music. I know a lot of people that were old enough to fully appreciate Kurt's talents that turned to music after his death.

Kurt had everything going for him...a wife whom he loved, a beautiful daughter, and he was in a band...he hated being the center of attention though...

there were times when he could've said 'no comment' to questions that were asked to him,...there were times when he could've turned down the interviews...but he didn't...

yet he claimed to hate being in the spotlight, but at the same time, he ran towards it,...he claimed that the media was always in his business, that they wouldn't leave him alone,...

yet he did nothing to stop them, he never tried to...he could've taken the time to say 'no, I won't do this interview...etc.' but he never said a word...

i wasnt into them when they were actually around cause i was 5 when he died but i love them now- i think kurt is/was amazing and he was an icon for a lot of people but at least dave grohl has foo fighters now-even though they arent as good as nirvana they can still connect to fans like nirvana did

btw i watched the shows on them on mtv2 also

Kurt had a lot of issues, no doubt. I don't think he wanted to do a lot that he did - interviews and such - but he was doing it for everyone else. Granted, I think it was a incredibly selfish of him to kill himself, because of his daughter, but for some people, the only way to be happy, to stay true to themselves, it to end whatever misery they're going through. At least that's what they believe. As for Courtney Love...does anyone believe that she might have played a role in Kurt's death?

I can't even begin to express my feelings for this man! I was 10 when he died and I have been a fan for 12 years! I loved him!!! It saddens me to think that anyone would believe he could have killed himself with a shotgun! Come on! How did he do it? With his foot...?

OK... I'm gonna stop now before I give myself a hernia!

There's a great website called Justice For Kurt. It goes through all the facts of Kurt's death, focusing on the theory that Courtney had Kurt killed. There's some very compelling evidence to support the fact, but who really knows...

I'd have to agree with Buffy Summers, Nirvana was our Beatles....I remember i was 13-14 when i seen their video "Smells like teen spirit", the first airing of it, & it just blew me away!!...It was like nothing i had ever seen or heard,EVER!!!...From then on I was their fan....I remember that unfornute day(evening) that that had happened. My heart just sank & tears just came pouring out like raindrops from the clouds up above ::crying2: I remember that school was cancelled for the next day,& my friends & I tributed the whole day by listening to nothing but Nirvana all day. I guess it was our way of grieving....I cannot believe it's been 10 years already! It's so unfortunate that he died. He had so much more he had to say, so much to live for(Frances Bean) for instance. God, i couldn't even imagine what she must be going through. Anyways, He is/was one of my favorite singers.....Rest in peace, God speed Kurt!!!...I'll always love you!!

I was ten as well....
And I wasn't a fan at the time...by the way...Spice girls wasn't five years later....it was like two😉
I remember seeing it on MTV news though...that he had died...and I remembered thinking it must be a big deal..though I didn't know why....

I have to say this...and I know this sounds weird...but later on in school...at a talent show...two girls(who would eventually become very close friends of mine) got up with their guitars and pretended to play "Heart Shaped Box"...and that was the first time I'd heard the song (we didn't have MTV)....and it changed my life...I can't explain how...but it did...

Oh..and by the way....for those of you saying it couldn't possibly be suicide...
It was not Kurt's first attempted suicide...in fact he had attempted suicide almost exactly a month earlier by overdosing on Rohypnol(sp?)...and by the way...that's not a drug you can "accidentally" overdose on...they are individually wrapped pills....and if you look back..in almost every interveiw with Kurt Cobain...he mentioned suicide in one form or another...and any psychologist will tell you that that is one of the foremost indicators that someone is considering suicide....
Even though they say Kurt had too much herion in his system to have been able to lift a gun...herion takes a minute or two to full kick in...that's long enough to put a gun to your head if it was pre-planned...

Anyway..he was a great man...a great man that should've gotten some help....and I can't believe it's been ten years since he died...kinda like I can't believe it's been fifteen years since Nine Inch Nails put out their first cd...damn...I feel old...or maybe I just listen to really old music...

i was just on that site "trustno1" posted and i now believe courtney killed him the evidence they had was impressive even if it was suicide courtney drove him to it-IMO

The shotgun used was one of those long double-barreled guns you see farmers use. There was so much heroin in his bloodstream, it would be impossible for him to pull the trigger. And he wouldn't be able to pull the anyway because it would be out of reach. And he couldn't pull the trigger with his toes because he had shoes on. And on the suicide note the part where he says he's commithing suicide is not in his hand-writing. Everything above is just him saying he's leaving the music industry.

yep courtney did it or the guy who she hired but i just know he did not commit suicide they said she was fine before his death i hope one day they reopen his case and find out the truth

That's why I've been a tiny bit iffy on this whole murder scenario. Kurt attempted suicide numerous times...and it's not like it was a total shock to most people that he finally succeded. Just some...actually, a lot...of the facts surrounding the case are a bit fishy to me. But I tend to lean towards conspiracy theories, anyways, so my opinion on the matter is a bit clouded. That, and the fact that I'd like to believe that it was suicide. I don't want to think about Kurt's life being taken away by anyone other than himself...

It's been 15 years? Really? Wow...I was like...4...Didn't realize it'd been so long. I kinda feel old now, too...

when you think about it its a little odd that kurt would shoot himself he was a quiet shy man and before his suicide attempts involved drug overdoses he probably wouldnt want to make a huge scene by shooting himself hed want to do it quieter with drugs-imo

Either way...I just hope there's some peace for us Kurt fans concerning his death.

kurt cobain had 3 times the leathal dose of a 'heroin cocktail'...as I like to call it...he was either already dead...or in a comatose like state before he was shot...so he could'nt have pulled the trigger...plus the bullet lodged into his brain...and if you know your guns, then you know that a shotgun blast at close range wouldn't equal a bullet lodged in the head, it would equal, no head!...so somebody shot him...plain and simple....

SpikeZAngel, if KC loved Courtney Love then why was he going to divorce her?

no where did kurt even hint at the thought of divorcing Courtney...they may've had there issues but if he really didn't want to be with her...then why would he have a child with her??...it makes no sense...KC may have had his own demons...but he love Courtney...and the one person he adored most in this world is Francis Bean...he probably would've worked out whatever problems that he had with courtney in order to give francis the family he never had...his father walked out on his mom, and him when he was young...and KC would've NEVER put Francis in that position...EVER...

...I know too much... ::eyes1::

Kurt was so...deep. It would take volumes and volumes just to *attempt* to analyze him. I remember he once said "None of you will ever know my intentions"...and it's true. Everyone has so many different opinions about his lyrics, his life, his death. As far as lyrics go...they're made ambiguous enough so that everyone can find thier own personal meaning in them. Most great musical talents can pull that off. Kurt was excellent at it...

yea my fave nirvana songs were "you know your right" and "lithium" i loved in utero and nevermind they are the greatest cds ever

ooh look what i found! yay!
