Landlord Says Woman Broke Lease By Dying - Demands $15,000 From Her Family

Apartment has already dropped this. Apparently a newer employee filled out a form incorrectly.

Incidentally, the request for payment was against her estate, not her family.

So does this mean that if you die your life insurance company can refuse to pay the claim because you "broke" the policies contract by doing so?

Like the guy said, dead or alive, you can't charge future rent, only what's past due. They're obliged to try to re-rent the place. So these guys are really scammers.

Can you charge a ghost of trespass if it goes to the landlords home?

They already tell you that the best way to help your family is hurry up and die young lmao

People should read small print more often. Many terms that you agree to, and many laws state that the lease will remain in force and the executor or administrator of the decedent's estate will become the tenant for the duration of the lease term.

That's how parasites work. Move onto a new host when the current one dies.

How could you keep going on about the ass kick thing - don't you know his name is Kick Ass?

My comis - commiserra - commizer - commiserations to you Joan the Vampire Slayer that you are no longer renting. It must be so hard to be homeless and still be on this site.
