Who is the guest star you most hated seeing on Buffy or Angel?

For me, it has to be Ashanti. When I saw the stills and found out "First Date" was going to feature Ashanti, it made my blood boil. I'm not a fan of her music, but after seeing her in a few interviews, I'm even less of a fan of hers. I felt like the show was becoming a sell-out when they put her on there.

*EDIT*
Blondie Bear agrees: And her acting was TERRIBLE.
YES, it really, really was.

Angel and Buffy never really had that many guest stars did it? I don't really remember any other than Ashanti, and I had no idea who she was until someone on here mentioned she was famous! Haha, some sort of Black American singer I'm assuming? *shrugs*

Yes, she's a singer:

Joss Whedon loved this guy, apparently, and I couldn't stand him in any of the roles he played on Buffy, Angel, or Firefly.

I don't care for Ashanti at all now so I guess it is her as well. I usually like guest stars. She was the weak link in John Tucker must die and in that Buffy episode oh well.

I hated Ashanti I was SO annoyed when I saw her like what the heck....She's not even an actress.

John Ritter was bothersome, I like him as an actor but that episode Ted was horrible, I really hated it, which makes me hate that he's in the episode.

I can't really remember any other "celeb guest stars"

Oh I have to agree about Ashanti. I hate when TV-shows have 'celebrity' guest stars that can't act but seem to be there on name recognition alone... feels so cheap.

Her acting was awful and made the part seem silly and forced. There are plenty of skilled actresses around, need they have brought her in or was it just a cheap move in hope to up some ratings?

That Wentworth Miller guy's line in Go Fish always bugs me "What is that foulness?". Um,i think it's you're acting mate! But that was before he was a biggish name. Aimee Mann annoyed me too, let's give her a line because she's Aimee Mann - wasn't singing a song enough. Ashanti was pointless too.

Agreed about Ashanti.

And I'll probably get a lot of disagreement here but I never liked Jonathan Woodward in any of his roles across the three shows. Holden was probably the most bearable... but there's something about the actor I just don't like.

HisMrs - agree about that Carlos Jacott guy - hated him in all of his roles too.

Jonathon Woodward's got a smugness about him I don't like.
Ashanti was in Buffy? Or Angel? What? Which episode and what/who did she play?

Btvs
S7 First Date
Secretly a demon who went on a date with Xander and tricked him so she could use his blood to re-open the hellmouth and set free the first Ubervamp (maybe....). Then Buffy proceeded to kick her ass.

Edit: I think she just stabs him I don't think anything comes out of the hellmouth I'm not sure

Ooooh! I haven totally not thought about that that was her. Cool. 🙂

Jonathan M. Woodward. I liked Holden. But I hate Knox very very much. And his character in Firefly too. His voice was so annoying. But I don't know why Holden's voice wasn't annoying. 😛

WHY would you hate Nathan Fillion?!?!?

Because I think he can't act his way out of a paper bag, at least judging by his performance in BtVS and Firefly. He made Caleb, who was already ridiculously one-dimensional caricature on paper, even more flat. That's quite an achievement. Adam Busch for instance was saddled with a similarly underdeveloped character but managed to bring it to life very well, IMO. Ditto for Emma Caulfied who single-handedly made a character which was pretty much a caricature on paper almost tolerable.

Has to be Ashanti. It was just so cringe worthy, I hide behind my hands every time I see it.

And I actually enjoy her music.

Aww, I don't agree... I love Nathan's acting style, and his acting as Caleb is the very reason I decided to watch "Firefly"!! 🙂
