Kennedy was a bit too over the top and the actress who played her was no good.
Tara and Willow werer the best, Kennedy displayed the lesbian attitude that is portrayed in most tv/movies over the top and about lust instead of love.

I make a distinction between couples that I don't want to end up together but don't mind watching because they are interesting and forward the series and couples that and revolting together because they are just a bad idea and are in a clearly explotive relationship without the saving grace of interesting dynamics.
I want Buffy to end up with Spike because he is a good man and loves her, but I make a strong distinction between Spike the souless creature and Spike the vampire with a soul. Both are interesting to watch and their dynamic with Buffy is wonderful. I for one, however, was always aware that a vampire without a soul is a monster. What I loved about souless Spike is that he was a monster trying to be something he is not, a good man, because of the love of a woman. Of course his and Buffy's relationship ended badly. If you sleep with a monster you have to expect consequences. Buffy was facinating because she exploited Spike and knew exactly what she was doing. It was wonderful television. Once Spike had a soul the dynamic changed and he became a character who was like Buffy's other half. He loves her unconditionally and supports her on her own terms, which is more than Angel ever did. I like them together and want him to end up with Buffy because of this.
Angel and Buffy on the other hand I never cared for, but didn't mind watching. It was clearly a teenage relationship for Buffy and typical Angel. He dated and later slept with Buffy when she was in high school and was her first serious relationship. Angel however was never good for her and treated her paternalistically. He left her because he wanted her to have a normal life which he should have known was impossible for a slayer. Angel is self-serving, he likes to think he is doing the right thing, but leaving Buffy was wrong. Slayers don't live very long and Buffy was no exception. He knew that she was cursed to die sooner rather than later so that a new slayer would be called before she lost her edge. An allegedly feminist hero, Buffy had no right to dream. Only later, after dying, through a twist of fate, was she able to escape the curse of her calling.
Xander and Anya I liked at first, but I lost my taste for it after Xander left her at the altar and I began to think about their relationship seriously. I have to conclude, and I'd like some comments on this one, that Xander could have been good for Anya if he was much more mature and older. The age-gap between Anya and any of her potential boyfriends was immense. She wanted to settle down and have a good life, to raise children, make money, and be human, but never had the chance. Anya would have benefited from a man older than Xander who shared her goals. I like to imagine the hilarity that would ensue if Anya dated Giles!
The only couple I particularly dislike and loath to see interact is Fred and Wesley. Fred idealizes Wesley. What she loves isn't what he is. Wesley on the other hand is completely obsessed with Fred and has sexual fantasies about her while sleeping with Lilah. He is a sick, sick, man and a wonderful character, but does not deserve to have his desires answered and get Fred even for a moment. Wesley coveting Fred is creeping, but interesting. Wesley with Fred is just boring. I absolutely loath them together.
Being one of the few lesbians on the board that I know of, I am going to weigh in on some of the Willow and Kennedy relationship comments.
First of all, while I agree with you that it was too soon for Willow to be in a serious relationship, but why does every relationship have to be true love? If she's having sex with Kennedy and gaining confidence why do they have to be perfect for each other? Can't Willow experiment a little. As for your comment about horny guy viewers. Do you honestly think they are the only people who care about sexy, powerful, lesbians? I care about sexy, powerful lesbians and so do most other lesbian viewers I assume. Its reafirming to see a lesbian relationship outside of niche programing and I personally enjoyed Kennedy as a character. As for the comment by TheChosenOne.
I don't think Kennedy was a stereotypical lesbian. She was a strong, female, character with opinions who could fight. She wanted a say in her own destiny and refused to be just another soldier against the Apocalypse. Hmm...sounds a lot like Buffy huh? :smileyb: Which is probably why she and Buffy never got along. What are lesbians supposed to be sexless as to not incite male lust? I don't get the fact that when a lesbian is a strong, sexually assertive character she is a stereotype, but when a straight girl is a strong sexually assertive character she's Faith or Buffy.

I don't care much for Ruffy... Never liked Buffy and Riley together. And I dont' care much about Killow, and the Fred and Gunn relationship, and the relationship btween Connor and Cordy in Season 4(That was creepy and wrong)
I'm a Spuffy lover...I just can't see what's bad about it. I think they're perfect...

Angels' confused...he kisses Buffy in End of Days/Chosen, kisses Cordy in "Your Welcome" and fools around with Nina in Season 5. I think he belongs in a soap opera...or maybe he's just doing all this to repress his feelings for Spike..hehe.

I think Angel needs someone to love (just like Buffy, although she got over this for a while, but then was lured to "feel" by Spike, which in my opinion, is the worst couple! I hate the Spuff!).
I think theres nothing wrong with Angel being with all 3 women in a short amount of time, less than a year I believe. I mean hes had feelings for all three women. If he cares for them, not caring only to get into their pants, then thats not bad.
As for the worst relationship, stated earlier, Buffy and Spike. I would think Spike would feel used but he just seemed to enjoy it. Personally, I would too!
But I mean to me they just don't click.

I think my least favourite Buffy relationship would be Kennedy and Willow for sure... grrr... well probably just because I didn't like Kennedy 🙂... and my least favourite Angel relationship is definetely Wes and Lilah... that was just creepy for me I guess...
