Signatures
Signatures should be no more than 150 pixels high x 725 pixels wide total and should include no more than 8 lines of text. It also should not cause a horozontal scroll bar on a 800 x 600 resolution screen. Only the first 150 pixels high of your sig will display in posts. Sound wavs, offensive language, and any quotes or pictures that would be 'spoilers' are not allowed. Please also do not include lists of names of board friends - while we are happy that you have made friends on the boards, this can make other members feel excluded and is contrary to the community we wish to have here.
How do I get a banner in my sig? / How do I upload a banner to the internet?
Can I have an animated banner in my sig?

Posting Rules
Threads that are located in the inappropriate forum will either be closed or moved to the appropriate forum. Please read forum descriptions carefully before posting.

Please check to see that a thread on your topic has not already been posted before you post (use the search feature to help you). Multiple topics will be closed, merged or deleted.

Create threads with clear titles that describes the topic of the thread (that means no titles like 'Guess what!'). When posting, please keep to the topic of the thread as much as possible. Threads that stray too far from the topic will be closed.

DiStOrTeD TeXt and text used in all CAPS (the online equivalent of shouting) should not be used. Also text and kewl talk are to be avoided - that includes text using numbers and letters (example: 4 u 2), and other intentionally misspelled words. Remember that we have many members from non-English speaking countries "“ when you use kewl talk it makes it difficult for them to understand what you're saying.

Offensive, obscene and profane language should not be used. Most points can be expressed without resorting to inappropriate language.

When posting any news articles, include a link to the site or otherwise quote the source that it was taken from. Copying portions of text from other websites is in fact infringing copyright laws and could result in this site being closed down.

Threads celebrating number of posts reached are allowed at every 500 posts. ie, 500, 1000, 1500 etc. Threads celebrating other post counts will be deleted.

Spoilers
If there is a thread that has spoilers in them, please insert SPOILERS in the thread title somewhere. Please do not include spoilers in thread titles, even in the spoiler forum, as people using the "New Posts" feature will still see them. You may also use spoiler tags in your posts:
spoiler text
(for a popup) or
spoiler text
for the regular highlight to view spoiler.

Anything from season 5 not aired on SkyOne is considered a spoiler. The popup spoiler tags have a problem with quotation marks, so if your popup is not working just use the old style.

Spam
Spamming will not be tolerated, and will be deleted. Spamming includes any post that is made solely to increase your post count "“ such as only posting smilies, one or two word posts, or posting a reply when one is not required (such as repeated "thank you" and "you're welcomes"). Please also refrain from double posting; use the 'edit post' button where needed. We want to hear what you think - spam posts add nothing to the discussion and make the real discussion difficult to follow.

Attachments & Avatars
Excessive posting of pictures as attachments is considered spamming, and also uses up server space and bandwith. If you are going to be attaching multiple pictures, please upload them elsewhere first (strike9.com and freehomepages.com are 2 choices).

Board avatars and all other graphics are copyrighted and should not be used without the permission of the site team. Please also do not link to attachments, avatars or other graphics on the boards or on other websites, including in your signature, as that takes up our bandwith and costs us money.
I've made some avatars - where can I send them?
Can I have a custom avatar?

RPGs
Only RPG's devised by the site staff are permitted on the boards. RPG ideas however are welcome.

Multiple Accounts will be deleted
User names can be changed by pming an admin. Members are only allowed one account. Any multiple accounts will be deleted. If you have multiple accounts, please let an admin know so they may delete the unused one(s). Otherwise, the newest account will be deleted. Remember, having more than one account takes up server space unnecessarily.

Misuse of Board Pms and Emails
Board private messages (pms) and emails are for members private use in chatting with other members. Abuse of these features - especially using them to spam - is not tolerated and will result in banning from the boards.

[Does 'private' tell you anything?.I think that doesn't mention talking about other boards...but,hey,don't worry,I'll keep reading]

Downloading Episodes / Other Items
The discussion of distribution of illegally-obtained episodes of the show is not allowed. Please do not post about downloading episodes / other items from the net, as it can result in our site being shut down. Such discussion will be deleted.

Links
Please do not post links on the boards. This helps keep the boards orderly. You may include links in your signature, however. (But please do not include advertisements like "Come visit my site!" - it looks really tacky.) If you have a Buffy or Angel related site, you can pm us for inclusion on the links page (until the links database is back up). Please do not post links to other Buffy/Angel-related message boards as it is generally considered bad form to link to boards of the same subject.

[Ern...*Searching for 'Do not PM other members talking about other Buffyverse sites*...well,can't find it...maybe I'm blind, who knows?]

Board Families and other Cliques
Board "families" are not allowed. Any creation of groups or clubs on this site MUST be cleared first with the staff.

Passwords and Board Security
The site staff will NEVER ask you for your password. Please do not give it out, and we recommend making it something no one could guess and changing it regularly. Anyone who attempts to access another person's account will be banned immediately

Please be respectful of all members of the posting community.
Abuse of this rule will not be tolerated by the site staff. Disagreements are fine, but they should be conducted in a civilized manner - we have faith in your ability to discuss issues without resorting to personal attacks.

Advertising / Selling items
We do not allow posts selling items on the boards - that is not what they're for.

Can I use my own avatar? / Can I make avatars for the boards?
At the moment, custom avatars are only for site staff. It is a 'perk' for the work they do, and also custom avatars use up a lot of bandwith.

We do not accept avatar submissions. You may send pictures, however, to buffysummers@buffy-boards.com and if they are workable we will add them to the pool of available avatars. We only use show-related pics however.

How do I get a picture in my signature?
Please do not link to attachments on the board in your signatures.

You will need to upload the image you want to use to the internet before you can put it in your signature. Check out strike9.com or freehomepages.com (or another free host) if you do not have a website to upload it to.

In your signature box (Under usercp, then Profile), type this:

[disable]
[/disable]

You can find the url address of the picture by right clicking on it, and then choosing properties.

Can I change my username?
Yes, as long as no one else is using the name. Just pm an admin with the name you want to change to.

How do I change my avatar (the picture under my username)?
1. Click on "usercp" at the top of the screen. 2. Click on "Change Avatar". (alternatively, you can click on the link under Quick Links to 'Edit Avatar' to go directly to the avatar screen) 4. Choose your avatar, and click on "Save Changes"

How do I become a moderator?
Firstly, the "Junior Partner" usertitle denotes is the term for board moderators.

Secondly, remember that a moderator needs to lead by example, so if you want to be considerated, show good behavior on the boards.

When the Admins decide to open a moderator position we follow these steps:

1. Spamming to give yourself a high post count is a sure way to NOT be selected. Post count does not come into play when selecting moderators.

2. We look for people who post intelligent and mature comments, follow the rules, and are online frequently.

3. We look at board activity. Do they often post? Do they post in a lot of forums or always in the same ones? We are looking for people who posts in different forums (not in all but at least a few).

4. The person(s) who is/are chosen are notified by private messaging. They are offered the spot. If they refuse, we will ask someone else.

5. Someone that is already a moderator on any other board MIGHT not be considered due to the fact that one of the boards might be neglected due to the amount of work to do. This would be handled on a case by case basis.

Note that:

- Being a moderator is a priviledge and not something that we owe you.

- It doesn't come automatically with a certain number of posts.

- You do not ask to become a moderator, we ask you.

- Know that even if we have space for more moderators, we do not promote because of it. The aim is not to have no spots left but more to find the right people to promote when they deserve it.

- Moderators, admins, and even the owner do not get paid for the work they do on this site.

- We will never let you know when we are looking for someone... know that we are ALWAYS and NEVER looking.

If you have any other questions, please feel free to ask one of the staff members.

Are there any free image hosts?
Here is a list of free ones here. If one on the lists stops allowing linking, please let us know. Also feel free to let us know about others you know about.

What's wrong with my signature! It's chopped off at the bottom!
Only the first 150 pixels high of your signature (the sig height max for these boards) will show up in posts. If your sig is too big, it just won't show.

Why was my thread closed?
Threads are closed when they reach 100 posts because of a glitch that has caused very large threads to disappear in the past. Though this may or may not be a problem any longer, we feel that it is better safe than sorry. In addition, it just keeps the discussions more organized and focused as there are not 20 pages of thread for new people to read through.

Every time I try to post, it asks me to login / I can't change my avatar.
Be sure you've checked the box that says "Remember Me?" when you login.

Why isn't my signature showing in threads?
Make sure you have the box checked to display signatures when you post your reply. Otherwise, signatures only show up once per person per thread page.

Why can't I post or pm a link? I get some weird message...
In an attempt to fight spammers (espcially porn spammers) you must have 15 posts before you can use urls on the board. We apologize to our new members for the inconvenience.

My banner's not working!
Be sure your total signature is no bigger than 150 pixels high. Make sure you're not using a host like geocieties or angelfire who do not allow linking. Only the first 150 pixels in height of your signature will be displayed in posts.

I've emptied my pm box but it still says I have messages
You can only have 70 messages total in all folders - so be sure you've cleaned out all folders including inbox and sent items.

I can't log out - help!
Click on the link to log out. Then, clear your browser's cookies and temporary internet files (Tools, Options in Internet Explorer). Then click on the link to return to the home page, and you should be logged out.

New Posts
Clicking on this link will display the new posts since you last visited the boards. The number in parentheses is the number of new posts.

Board Time Spent
The total and average times spent on the boards is displayed in each user's profile.

Refer a Friend
The refer friends link at the bottom of the page lets you send an invitation to join the boards to anyone you know that might be interested. Thanks for referring!
vb code
You can use this tag:

if you want to prevent a bb code from working (like or ).

Option to use different post layout
You can select in your Edit Options whether the avatar is displayed at the Top or Left of posts.

/me code
You can use the /me code to post an action on the board in posts.

Liquid vs Fixed forums
There is an option in your Edit Options to choose whether the page expands to fit the width of your screen (liquid) or whether the width stays the same (fixed).

Choose forums to exclude from new posts
In your Edit Options, you can choose some forums to not show when you click on new posts. For example, you could choose to not show any new posts in the Introductions and Off Topic forum.

Pets
In your Edit Profile, you can select a pet which will be displayed in your posts. Your Health will go down when you don't post on the boards; your EXP shows how close your pet is to increasing to the next level.

Reputation
You can rate other members posts (by clicking on the icon at the top right of posts). All your ratings combine to your reputation (symbolized by the green jewel in your posts).

Why should I register?
In order to fully utilize the abilities of this forum, the administrator will probably require that you register as a member. Registration is free, and allows you to do the following:
Post new threads
Reply to other peoples' threads
Edit your posts
Receive email notification of replies to posts and threads you specify
Send private messages to other members
Enter events in the forum calendar
Set up a 'buddy-list' to quickly see which of your friends are currently online
To register, you will need to specify a username and password, and a valid email address. Entering your email address will not leave you open to 'spam', as you can choose to hide your email address, and messages sent to you via email do not reveal your address to the sender in any case. (To verify this, you can try sending an email message to another user.) The administrator may have configured the forum to send you the final part of the registration process by email, so ensure that the email address you provide is valid and working.

If you are under the age of 13, the administrator may require that a parent or guardian provides consent before allowing you to complete the registration process. More information about this is available during the registration process.

Does this forum use cookies?
The use of cookies on this forum is optional, but may enhance your experience of the site. Cookies are used to enable functions such as showing whether or not a thread or forum you are viewing has new posts since your last visit, or to automatically log you back in when you return to the site after being away for a while. When you register, you will be given the option to 'Automatically login when you return to the site'. This will store your username and password in a cookie, stored on your computer. If you are using a shared computer, such as in a library, school or internet cafe, or if you have reason to not trust any other users that might use this computer, we do not recommend that you enable this. This forum also gives you the option to use a cookie to track your current session, ensuring that you remain logged-on while browsing the site. If you choose not to store this information in a cookie, the session data will be sent through each link you click. Choosing not to use a cookie may cause problems if your computer's connection to the Internet uses a proxy-server and you share links with other users behind the same proxy. If in doubt, we recommend that you select 'yes' to enable the cookie. After you have registered, you may alter your cookie options at any time by changing the settings on this page.

How do I clear my cookies?
You may clear all your cookies by clicking here. If you return to the main index page via the link provided and you are still logged in, you may have to remove your cookies manually.

Here are the instructions for Internet Explorer 5 on Windows:
Close all Internet Explorer windows.
Click the "Start" button.
Move up to "Find" and click "Files or Folders" from the menu that appears.
In the new window that appears, in the "containing text" field, type in the domain name of the forum without the "http://" or "www." part. For example, if the forums' address was "http://www.vbulletin.com/forum/index.php", I would type in "vbulletin.com" (without the quotes)
In the "look in" box, type in "C:\Windows\Cookies\" (without the quotes) and press "Find Now"
After it has finished searching, highlight all files (click a file, then press CTRL+A) and delete them (press the "delete" key or SHIFT+DEL)
Your cookies should now be removed. You may want to restart the computer and revisit the forums to be sure.

How can I change the information in my profile?
It is your responsibility to keep the information in your profile up-to-date. You should especially ensure that your email address is kept current. You can alter any of the fields in your profile, except your username. Once you have registered your username, it becomes yours for life. In extreme circumstances, you may request that the administrator change your username, but he or she will require a very good reason to do so.

Edit your profile here.

What is the signature for?
After you have registered, you may set your signature. This is a piece of text that you would like to be inserted at the end of all your posts, a little like having headed note paper.

If the administrator has enabled signatures, then you will have the option to include your signature on any posts you make. If you have specified a signature, then the forum will automatically append your signature to any messages you post. You can disable signatures on a per-post basis by un-ticking the 'Show Signature' checkbox when you compose your message.

You may turn the signature on and off on posts you have already made by editing the post and altering the state of the 'Show Signature' option.

You can set your signature by editing your profile.

I lost my password, what can I do?
If you forget your password, you can click on the 'Forgotten Your Password' link on any page that requires you to fill in your password.

This will bring up a page where you should enter your registered email address, and an email will be sent to that address instantly, with instructions for resetting your password.

How do I add a custom status to my profile?
If the administrator has enabled custom status titles, then you can specify the text you want to display by editing your profile and entering the text you want in the Custom User Text field.

How do I get a picture under my username?
These small images are called Avatars. They are displayed below your username on all posts that you make. There are two kinds of avatars: those provided by the administrator and those that you upload yourself.

If the administrator has provided a set of avatars, and avatars are enabled, you may select an avatar that best describes your personality.

The administrator may also have enabled custom avatars, which allows you to upload an avatar image from your computer.

For more information about avatars, click here.

What are the buddy and ignore lists?
The buddy list is used to keep track of the friends you have made on this forum. By going to your "My vB Home", you'll be able to see which of your friends are currently online, and be able to send them a private message. Adding people to your buddy list also allow you to send private messages to multiple forum members at the same time. You may add any member of the forums to your buddy list by clicking this button in a member's posts.

Ignore lists are used for those people who's messages you wish not to read. By adding someone to your ignore list, those messages posted by these individuals will be hidden when you read a thread.

Can I search the forum?
You can search for posts based on username, word(s) in the post or just in the subject, by date, and only in particular forums.

To access the search feature, click on the "search" link at the top of most pages.

You can search any forum that you have permission to search - you will not be allowed to search through private forums unless the administrator has given you the necessary security rights to do so.

Can I send email to other members?
Yes! To send an email to another member, you can either locate the member you want to contact on the member list, or click the button on any post made by that member.

This will usually open a page that contains a form where you can enter your message. When you have finished typing your message, press the [send email] button and your message will be sent instantly. Note that for privacy reasons, the email address of the recipient is not revealed to you during this process.

Note that if you can not find an email button or link for a member, it either means that the administrator has disabled email functions for this forum, or that the member in question has specified that they do not wish to receive email from other members of the forum.

Another useful email function is the ability to send a friend a link to a thread you think they may find interesting. Whenever you view a thread, you will find a link somewhere on the page which will allow you to send a brief message to anyone you like. Your referrerid is added to the link you send, so if your friend registers on this forum as a result of viewing the link you sent to them, your referrals total will automatically be credited!

Registered members may also be able to send messages to other members of this forum using the private messaging system. For more information about private messaging, click here.

[B]What is Private Messaging?
If the administrator has enabled the Private Messaging system, registered members may send each other private messages.

Sending Private Messages

Private messages work a little like email, but are limited to registered members of this forum. You may be able to include vB Code, smilies and images in private messages that you send.

You may send a private message to a member of this forum by clicking the 'Send A Private Message' link in the private messaging section of your user control panel, or by clicking the button in a member's posts.

When you send a message, you have the option to save a copy of the message in your Sent Items folder.

Private Message Folders

By default, you will have two folders in your private message area. These are the Inbox and the Sent Items folders.

The Inbox folder contains any new messages you receive, and allows you to view all the messages you have received, along with the name of the person who sent the message to you, and the date and time the message was sent.

The Sent Items folder contains a copy of any messages that you have sent, where you have specified that you wish to keep a copy of the message for future reference.

You may create additional folders for your messages by clicking the 'Edit Folders' link.

Each folder has a set of message controls which allow you to select messages, then either move them to one of your custom folders, or delete them completely. You may also have a button which allows you to forward multiple messages from a folder to another member of the forum.

You will need to periodically delete old messages, as the administrator has probably set a limit to the number of private messages you can have in your folders. If you exceed the number of messages specified by the administrator, you will not be able to send or receive new messages until you delete some old messages.

Whenever you read a message, you will have the option to reply to the message, or forward that message to another member of the forum. You may also have the ability to forward that message to multiple members of your buddy list.

Message Tracking

When you send a new private message, you may have the option to request a read-receipt for that message. This will allow you to check whether or not a message has been read by its recipient by viewing the Private Message Tracking page.

This page is divided into two sections: unread messages and read messages.

The unread messages section shows all messages that you have sent with a read-receipt request, that have not yet been read by their recipient. The time of the last activity of the message recipient is also shown. Messages in this section can be cancelled if you decide that their contents are no longer relevant, or for any other reason. Cancelled messages can also be restored to active status if the administrator has enabled this feature.

The read messages section shows all messages you have sent with a receipt request that have been read and acknowledged by their recipient. The time that the message was read is also shown.

You may choose to end the tracking on any message you choose by selecting the message and clicking the [end tracking] button.

When you receive a message with a read-receipt request, you may have the option to read the message while denying the read-receipt request. To do this, simply click the 'deny receipt' link rather than the title of the message, if it appears.[/B]

How do I use the Member List?
The member list contains a complete list of all the registered members of this forum. You can view the member list ordered alphabetically by username, by the date that the member joined the forum, or by the number of posts the members have made.

The member list also has a search function, which allows you to quickly locate members according to categories you specify, such as searching for all members who have joined in the past week etc.

How do I use the calendar?
The calendar functions in a way similar to the forums in that there can be multiple calendars. One calendar could hold just events that you are able to see, while another may list birthdays.

There are two types of events on the calendar: normal events and recurring events.

Normal Events span the time frame from when the event starts until the event ends.

Recurring Events repeat over a set period of time based on certain criteria. Examples would be an event that occurs on the first Monday of every month and an event that occurs every Monday and Wednesday.

The administrator may have enabled registered members to post events, but usually this is not the case. You can most likely post your own private events that are only viewable to you.

Birthdays may be shown on the calendar if the administrator has enabled this feature. Your birthday will automatically be shown on the calendar if you have entered the date of your birthday in your profile. Note: if you do not enter the year of your birth when you edit your profile, your age will not be shown on the calendar.

If you enter your birthday, your name will also appear on the main forum page when it is your birthday.

What are announcements?
Announcements are special messages posted by the administrator or moderators. They are designed to be a simple one-way communication with the users. If you wish to discuss announcements, you will have to create a new thread in the forum, since you cannot reply to announcements.

How do I rate a thread?
You may find a small menu on thread pages which allows you to 'rate this thread' with a number between 1-5.

Casting a vote for threads you view is entirely optional, but if you think that the thread is superb, you might rate it as a 5-star thread, or if you think that it's unspeakably dismal, you might choose to rate the thread with a single star.

Once enough votes have been cast for the thread rating, you may see a set of stars appear with the title of the thread in the thread listings. These stars reflect the average vote cast, and can allow you to quickly see which threads are worth reading if you are on a very busy forum with a lot of threads.

What are referrals?
The administrator may have enabled referrals, which allows you to be credited for any new users you invite to the forum.

You gain referrals by promoting Buffy/Angel Discussion Forum using your unique referral link. The link you should use as your referral link is this:

[url]https://www.buffy-boards.com/index.php?referrerid=2583[/url]

Each time someone follows this link to Buffy/Angel Discussion Forum and registers as a new member, your referral count will be incremented by one. The number of referrals you have can be viewed in your profile.

Your administrator will have more information on any prizes or rewards that may be given out for referrals. Please be courteous when promoting Buffy/Angel Discussion Forum by not spamming other web sites with your referral link just to gain referrals.

What are the various thread display options?
When viewing a thread, you will be able to view the thread from a choice of four modes.

Linear Mode (Oldest First) - In this mode, posts are displayed chronologically from oldest to newest. Posts are shown in a flat mode so that many posts can be viewed simultaneously.
Linear Mode (Newest First) - This is the same as the above mode, except that posts are ordered in an opposite way (newest first).
Threaded Mode - In this mode, a tree is shown along with every post. This tree allows you to see the relationship each post has to others, in terms of who responded to whom. Only one post is shown at a time.
Hybrid Mode - This mode is a mixture of the linear and threaded modes. The post tree is displayed like in the threaded mode, but multiple posts are displayed simultaneously like in the linear modes.

Are there any special codes/tags I can use to markup my posts?
For the most part, your posts will contain plain text, but on occasions, you may want to emphasize certain words or phrases by making them (for example) bold or italic.

Depending on the rules of the forum, you may use HTML code to produce these effects. However, more often than not, the administrator will have disabled HTML code, and opted instead to use vB Code: a special set of tags which you can use to produce the most popular text-effects. vB code has the advantage that it is very simple to use, and is immune to malicious javascripts and page layout disruption.

You may also find that the administrator has enabled smilies, which allow you to use small icons to convey emotion, and the [img] code, which allows you to add pictures to your message.

For more information about vB code, click here.

What is email notification?
If you post a new thread, or reply to an existing thread, you can choose to be notified by email when someone else replies to that thread. You can also choose to receive email notifications of new posts in a thread without posting in that thread, by clicking the 'Subscribe to this thread' link displayed in the thread page.

If you choose to stop receiving email notifications from a thread, you can turn off the option by either editing your post, or by unsubscribing from the thread here.

Only registered users may receive email notification, and they can set whether they want to receive email notification by default by editing their options.

Email notification is also referred to as 'Thread Subscription'.

What are smilies?
Smilies are small graphical icons which you can insert into your messages to convey an emotion or feeling, such as a joke or embarrassment. For example, if you entered a sarcastic comment, rather than type 'that was a joke', you could simply insert the 'wink' smilie.

If you have used email or internet chat systems, you will probably be familiar with the concept of smilies already. Certain combinations of text characters are converted into smilies. For example,:) is converted into a smiling face. To understand smilie codes, tilt your head to the left and look at the text: you will see that :) represents two eyes and a smiling mouth.

For a list of the smilies currently used by this forum, click here.

On occasions, you may want to prevent the text in your message being converted into smilies. You will see a checkbox which you can select when you make a new post, which will allow you to 'Disable Smilies'.

Code Buttons and Clickable Smilies
These controls allow you to quickly and easily enter vBcode into your posts and messages. To use them, simply click the appropriate buttons or select items from the lists to enter vBcode.

There are two modes available: normal and enhanced mode.

When using normal mode, pressing a button will pop-up a dialog for you to fill with text. It will then enter the text with the appropriate vB Code tags at the end of your message.

When using enhanced mode, pressing a button will insert the appropriate STARTING tag for the code, leaving you to enter text into the message area. When you have finished the text and want to close the tag, simply press the Close Current Tag button (alt+c). How do I create and vote in polls?
You may notice that some threads on this forum also include a section where you can vote on an issue or question. These threads are called 'polls' and this is how to create them:

Creating a new poll

When you post a new thread, you may have the option to also create a poll.

This function allows you to ask a question and specify a number of possible responses. Other members will then be able to vote for the response they wish, and the results of the voting will be displayed in the thread.

An example poll might be:

What is your favorite color?

Red
Blue
Yellow
Green
Sky-blue pink with yellow spots
To create a poll when you post a new thread, simply click the 'Yes! post a poll' checkbox at the bottom of the page, and set the number of possible responses you want to include.

When you click the submit button, you will be taken to the poll creation page, where you can specify the question and the list of responses you want to include.

You may also want to specify a time limit for the poll, so that (for example) it only stays open for voting for a week.

Voting in and viewing a poll
To vote in a poll, simply select which option you want to vote for, and click the [Vote!] button. You may view the current results for a poll before you vote by clicking the 'View Results' link. Voting in a poll is entirely optional. You may vote for any of the available options, or cast no vote at all.

Generally, once you have voted in a poll, you will not be able to change your vote later, so place your vote carefully!

What Are Attachments?
The administrator may allow you to use the attachment feature of this forum, which gives you the ability to attach files of certain types to your posts. This could be an image, a text document, a zip file etc. There will be a limit to the file size of any attachments you make, as the forums should not be used as an extension of your hard disk!

To attach a file to a new post, simply click the [Browse] button at the bottom of the post composition page, and locate the file that you want to attach from your local hard drive.

Only certain types of files may be attached: these are the valid file extensions for files to be attached to this forum: bmp doc gif jpe jpeg jpg pdf png psd txt zip.

After posting, the attachment will show up in the body of your message. To view the contents of the attachment (if it is not already displayed) simply click the filename link that appears next to the attachment icon .

What are message icons?
The administrator may have enabled message icons for new threads, posts and private messages. Message icons allow you to specify a small icon to accompany your posting, which is used to convey the emotion or content of a post at a glance. If you do not see a list of message icons when you are composing your message or post, the administrator has disabled the option.

Can I edit my own posts?
If you have registered, you will be able to edit and delete your posts. Note that the administrator can disable this ability as he desires. Your ability to edit your posts may also be time-limited, depending on how the administrator has set up the forum.

To edit or delete your posts, click the button by the post you want to edit. If your post was the first in the thread, then deleting the post may result in the removal of the entire thread.

After you have made your modifications, a note may appear, which notifies other users that you have edited your post. Administrators and moderators may also edit your messages but this note may not appear when they do so.

What Are Moderators?
Moderators oversee specific forums. They generally have the ability to edit and delete posts, move threads, and perform other manipulations. Becoming a moderator for a specific forum is usually rewarded to users who are particularly helpful and knowledgeable in the subject of the forum they are moderating.

Why have some of the words in my post been blanked
Certain words may have been censored by the administrator. If your posts contain any censored words, they will be blanked-out like this: ****.

The same words are censored for all users, and censoring is done by a computer simply searching and replacing words. It is in no way 'intelligent'.

I'll miss ya too Dà¡Nió...btw,I never told you this, but your name is pretty cool😛:: tu ::

why thank you, my friend made it up for me, av got many other ones. im tryin to make much sense of why your leaving but i'm a little drunk at the moment(footie, pub) so i'll read it again in the morning..

Moogi? Magui! Mags!!! NO!!! You know what this means right? When you were a member here, you didn't get on msn which was fine cause i could talk to you here... But now that you aren't gonna be here, you HAVE to get on msn! Yes that's right, you have to! It's the only way to chat with me now and y'know i lylas, right? (that means luv ya like a sis) just email me the other boards your at and I'll register there! Even if it's a Lotr board!!! Well.. Keep in touch!

I agree, that's f***ed up! Everyone makes mistakes.. And am I Misinterpreting the meaning of PRIVATE messaging? No offence, Faith! you're just doing your job, I'm sure.

Mags!! No!! I'm going to miss you, sweetie! Damnit..now I'm going to cry...I'll be sure to email you. Be on the lookout for an email from a psycho chihuahua..😛

Faith don't take this the wrong way, but cant you see you would be losing one (and possibly more) of the best members on here!
So she made a mistake..it does't mean she should be punished by being banned thats just to harsh! it's obvious by these posts that she will be greatly missed..so on behalf of everyone on BB....DONT BAN MAGUI.
Thats all i have to say 😀

Ok, ok ok...
Magui, you know I love you, your one of my bestest internet friends, but this isnt the place to discuss this...
Faldor make a very good point in my welcome back post that if you have problems, you shouldnt discuss them over the board...
And everyone else who's mad and upset, I understand, but shouting, and mouthing off about Faith isnt going to get you anywhere...its just going to get you into more trouble...

Yep, I agree with Lee on this one. I respect you all and it's nice of you to stick up for Magui cos she's lovely but it's not our fight. I think that Mags and Faith should figure this out privately like adults.

I just wanna say that I don't want anyone to leave or be banned. That's too sad for words. 🙁 So please, please, please figure this out you guys!

I like your banner....ooohhh reputationing is fun!
I have to agree with Lee and Elmo on this. It's something Magui and Faith need to discuss rationally between themselves. I don't think anyone should be banned or be leaving over this, especially if you enjoy being here...

Yes i do agree with Lee, Elmo and Mr P..but when things like this are posted its hard to not get dragged into it and voice our own opinions..in Magui's case it seemed like a cry for help..the same as when anyone posts a thread saying "i'm leaving" if your going to leave then leave! it seems everytime there is an argument or disagreement, we all end up feeling uncomfortable!

Ditto for me, think the same as above ^

Don't wanna anyone to leave & guys, don't you think that ppl fight already enough in the "real" world?
That's pity to see that even in here fights sneak in waste everything... 🙁

Very very true Akasha.
But as I say, its not really anyones buisness but Magui's and Faith's...and this thread is turning into a b****-fest rather than a goodbye thread.
I guess Im saying, just be careful...

Now this is more like it. Rational talk is lots better than shouting insults. I've been here a long time, relatively speaking, and I have faith (pun? maybe...) that, despite the young ages of some of the principles involved, you can show wisdom and work it out. So, work it out already.
