Since I failed at the don't procrastinate on the washing up last year, I figured I'd try an easier procrastination this year, make the bed each morning.

I'm also going to give up fiction books and just read non fiction. I am going to use my Sundays to keep up with the read a longs I am doing though.

I'm in the middle of a sort out, so will keep donating items to charity shops throughout Lent, and make a donation to the food bank.

Do you have any plans to give up anything?

Don't bother posting the giving up, giving up or religion type ones. I'm only after people that are giving up things and we can support each other.

I am not sure yet, I would like to give up treats and sweets (and chips) I think, which is pretty traditional. But beyond that, I feel a bit unsure at the moment.

No fasting for you!

I'll stick with the no takeaways or bakery trips although I'm already doing well without going to greggs.

I like to use Lent as a springboard to better habits, rarely actually works, but I like the idea!

No chips or candy isn’t really fasting, just the bare minimum. I’ll really try this year.

I like the better habits thing. I am already failing at the make-my-bed every morning, even though I’ve tried to make that a habit. Maybe I’ll take inspiration from you here.

Oh and last year I gave a little something to every charity that crossed my path during Lent. I will do that again I think!

I would like to try to give up being too nice to people. I think it would really have a positive affect on my mental well-being were I to do so. But... I doubt I could do that for even 4 days.

Lent starts today, and I've sorted my books out. I'd already started on two non fiction books, so if I finish those I have Bill Bryson Notes From A Small Island to read, and I think at the start of March I should have Wild Swans from the library to listen to.
The question is, do we think Britney Spears autobiography is more fiction or non fiction as its due to be on my library app tomorrow.

I'll make the bed in a moment.

I'm trying to motivate myself to get rid of a few dozen!

Last few days for Lent in the Western Church countries, Eastern Churches still have weeks to go.

I've been doing really well with making the bed, might not be perfect every day, but it's been made.

Charity wise I started off well, and sorted out a bunch of stuff to give away however I haven't had time to continue that the last 2 weeks. That is something I'll keep doing though when I do have more time.

I keep saying that it's going to be chocolate... completely squandered by the fact that I ate a bar of Galaxy therefore not sticking to Lent.
