.....or in other words, help me please. 🙂

So I've got this band right? And we're pretty much formed now, with all the puzzle pieces in place. Now, we're onto another challenge: choosing a name. It's proven to be extremely difficult, even though it shouldn't be. I mean, we've thrown out silly names (Leprechaun Lust being one of them, haha! 😛), but we really need some help in this area. I mentioned to them that the name should coincide with the sound of our band. Here's some of our influences:

A big departure from my previous ska punk band, but I love moving in different directions, musically speaking. So since our style will be pretty much fast, funky, rap rock, what do you guys think our name should be? Any suggestions?
 
I've always been a fan of Polite Society as a band name especially for a band with anti-establishment leanings.

I have a huge list of band names & song names that I mean to use myself, but i wont be using all so I picked some to share.

Some may fit better as song names, and I don't know if any fit for your style (I'm making experimental instrumental post-rock/metal,) Anyway here they are (these are remotely sane... i got some pretty weird ones as well but they fit better with an experimental band):

I know it's a living hell. I've been writing music for months and I still haven't decided which name to use... Naming songs is easier imo. I dunno why that is.

Oh I don't write lyrics, just tabs for bass and guitar. I suppose I could upload some if you want 😛 My instruments are cheap though and sound horrible, but that's not always a bad thing... 😀

As of right now, I don't plan on adding lyrics to my...tracks... but I might make exceptions in the future. Do you only write lyrics or music as well?
 
I think a band name should be something that says something about who you are but also is something that has you all together. I don't think it is something that can be suggested but only something that can mean something to all of you. I think a cool name would be something like 'Silhouette' because to me I think the description sounds fantastic for a rock band: "a two-dimensional representation of the outline of an object, as a cutout or configurational drawing, uniformly filled in with black" but to you that might sound a bit wanky.

I thought I was the only pêrson in the world to be able only to write lyrics XD
 
Halcyon. Just cause. I always said if I had a band, that's what I'd call it. But my band would have a weird, dreamy sound, I think. So maybe Halcyon is too calm for yours haha.

I actually like Leprechaun Lust hahah
 
I've always liked your name, it could work for the name of a band, The Living Dead.

I mean, if you send us this long, detailed message explaining how much you want to be in the band, but turn around and fall off the face of the planet? It's frustrating, to say the least. 😛
