I always remember getting the sugar cube for the polio vaccine at school, then still asking if anyone had any mints as it tasted so bad! I wonder if people still get it on a sugar cube or if that's too unhealthy now.
I read somewhere that childhood diseases, such as measles and mumps have returned from almost-extinction, because some parents are scared to immunise nowadays.
Surprised about scurvy though, doesn't eating oranges cure that?! 😛

I never even got lollypops for needles! doubt they give sugar cubes, i cant even find them to feed horses nowdays.
Annnd still got all sorts of rashes and coughs compared with rubella and whooping cough haha (no vaccine for every strain of everything)

Um NO.
I am not sure how this turned into antivaxx? You cant vaccinate against scurvy. I hadnt heard of a leprosy vaccine either.. or syphilis.
I am sure there are plenty of other diseases not covered in this article thought to be extinct - I'd like to know what else.
