Have you guys seen it? What did you think?

I saw it last week. Honestly, I haven't seen a movie that good in years! Can't stop thinking about it. 😀 Hadn't seen the musical or read the book so everything was brand new to me.

Edit: damn you autocorrect! 😀 can a mod change to LES miserables? 😀
 
I loved it as well. I had seen the 10th anniversary performance of the musical as well as the 25th anniversary performances on multiple occasions and although not all of the singing was as good as I would have liked in the movie the acting put a whole new level of emotion into each song which really made up for it to me 😀 I'm man enough to admit that I cried on multiple occasions haha.
 
It is something that I never got round to reading. I wanted to read the book before seeing the stage version, never got round to that either. But I do want to see the movie and feel that it should be seen on a big screen. I'm thinking of heading tomorrow.

You totally should! I didn't think it was going to be as good at it was, but I LOVED it! It has a really beautiful message and a great cast.
 
Les Miserables is my number one musical (folowed closley by Chicago) and I really want to see this but just haven't had the time. 🙁 I have seen a stage version of Les Miserables a few years ago and loved it an my favourite version is the 10th Anniversary.

I am told that
Colm Wilkinson has a cameo in the movie. Is this true? What part does he play? Does he sing?

He plays
the Priest that gives Jean Valjean the silver and he sings some.
 
I loved the movie!!! I saw it 3 times. I was bawling by the end. Such a tearjerker!!! But so good!!! The music is brilliant!!! 🙂
