I felt this premiere episode was kinda weak overall, except for two things.

Even though I hated a few, the montage of villians from previous seasons was pretty cool.

Which tells me the final season's BIG BAD could be a force to be reckoned with. Especially being called the "First Evil"

Principal Robin Wood is "Wanye Palmer" from 24, this character seems to be more interesting. And pretty cool.

Plus DB Woodside is HOT!

Oh, and on the note of your hating some of the previous villains.....sorry to be the one to tell you, but you haven't seen the last of the nerds.

I rather liked "Lessons." Unfortunately, I felt it set me up for a season that didn't quite deliver. S7 is good, yes, but not as utterly fabulous as I would have liked, given it being the last season of Buffy and all.

I liked it, even though the parts with the teen bonding experiences were kind of corny... I like the episodes that creep me out and this one did. And the First's part was really cool. It was a good way to start off the season.

I felt exactly the same way. Lessons was the worst season opener in the series. But i also liked the first and Wood is a great character.

I was soooo bored druing lessons. The only cool thing was Spike in the basement. Didn't see that coming. Of course after the end of season 6 you knew there was going to be more Spike, possibly insane Spike, but not from the start. And Buffy really needs to learn how to duck. She often forgets that.

About spike. I couldn't wait to see him return after the end of s6. Getting his soul back was a total shocker
