OMG OMG OMG That was so good!

Aside from teh cheap Blair Witch Talisman knockoff, that was really well done. Much better than last year's. It really has the feel of the first season. Love the twist on Spike, and the big bad. Can't wait to see what's coming!
 
okay.....i'm about to watch it again...cuz i'm maaaad confused (i did come in half hr later)..i mean i get the whole "next generation of scoobie" deal, but i need some explaining on the whole spike/big bad cameos at the end...the whole power thing....i sorta get it but i need help anyway..k
 
I'm so excited! I thought it was very well done, too. I felt so badly for Spike, all mopey with his hair all messed up. 😀 I can't wait to see what's to come of the shape shifter! It's all so exciting I could squeal! I won't, though. Cause that would be a little strange... 😀
 
New buffy ep/spoilers inside

I just saw the new Buffy ep. OMG!!!! You will totally have open mouth and fall out of your chair when you see spikes new hair. Plus he can play loco like no body's business!!! Let me confirm the shape-shifter, it is so cool but kinda creepy! the Hellmouth is opening again and here we go to THE BEGINNING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Go Dawnie, with your new attitude!!!!
 
Another fan in agreement. This was way better than last year's premier. Of course, this year didnt have to contend w/ bringing the lead back to life, so that was easier.

I thought the episode was so well done. I really liked the shapeshifting thing at the end. Of course, I didnt get it until it shifted through everyone of the big bads, b/c i was too busy picking up my jaw after seeing glory. Warren was really Glory!? OMG! wait.... oops. lol. anyways....

i am not sure how i feel about the next generation of scoobies. it makes me feel all old. i graduated from HS the same year as buffy did in the show, and we already have another generation? oh my. plus, still not a big dawn fan here.. but as long as she doesnt shriek too much, she might not be so bad. i did notice that dawn's group happened to be dawn, 1 guy and 1 girl. (looks familiar!)... now all they need is a librarian and the scrappy doo gang will be complete.

Don't know what's up w/ spike yet. his behavior looked alot like Angel's after he got his soul back. are they really doing that again?

best line: buffy is talking to dawn about power...

I loved this episode! Granted I will have to watch it again to understand it. I seriously hope their not doing it again, I mean with Spike. That was so over-done...my theory and I seriously hope i'm right is that he's human but he still has the vampire 'attitude' in him and the human and vampire attitudes are at odds.

also about Dawn, I like her alot better this season already, she's not as whiny...and her new friends are...interesting and the set-up is familiar.

And OMG I had chills that last scene, just seeing all the big bads shift from one to the other was creepish, I was surprised it was Drusilla and not Angelus though...Angelus always seemed like more of the big-bad of S2...but all well, not complaining ^_^ Dru was back for a scene...I'll take any chance to see Dru back...even if it really wasn't her.

😉 I do not think they would do that again, after season 6, they have to some major damage control, so as not to lose viewers. James is a major draw, and have a hugh fan base, so I doubt they would do anything that might cause the to lose rating ,especially with the fact that SMG might be leaving. a lot of people are not so kean on the idea of the "scappy gang"::nono1::

plus, why would the principal look at buffy records. she haven't been in hig school for 4 years. wouldn't her school records had been destoryed when they destoryed the school in season3. even if they were destoryed, they do not keep the records that long after a student leaves. I think the pricipal is either evil or will be dead by the end of the season.......or he could very well be....

Okay, last time I say this. There is no Scrappy gang, end of discussion. They are there ONLY to prove that Dawn is capable of making friends outside the Scooby core, and can have a life outside of them. Beyond that, Dawn ruled this episode, and Michelle ruled it with her acting, which was arguably the best of the cast. The last part I think was extreamly interesting, especially what the Master said, followed by Buffy, will set the theme for the season, which is POWER. On a completely unrelated note, Dawn/Michelle is now easily the prettiest female on the show, that girl is a major hottie, so I don't mind more of her.
 
I understood it, almost completely, its the theme of the season, which was hammered in right from the beginning in the graveyard with Dawn and Buffy. Its about Power, who has it. And I think that Buffy is the one with the power. Like Willow said in 'Grave', being a Slayer isn't about the violence, its about the POWER. And that leads to believe that Buffy may well turn out to be the Big Bad this season.
 
The episode rocked, which was good, because last season was kind of...ugh...

I like the idea of the shape shifter - but doesn't it come off as more than just a shape shifter? I mean, Willow felt the evil all the way in England. Halfrek was hinting at something coming that is so bad that even the other demons are freaked. This shape shifter could be something huge! And if it can look like anyone it wants? Uh-oh...

Now, my only big question for the show - the only thing I really didn't understand - What the Hell happened with the chick in Istanbul????????? Why were we shown her being chased and supposedly killed?? Was it to get a body for the shape shifter? Argh - it never went back to her last night...
 
I know! I was rushing to get back to Smallville lol so I forgot to mention that. I <i>hate</i> when they do that!

Something else I thought was interesting, the shapeshifter turned into Buffy and said what she said to Dawn. Which tells me it's watching her.

I also read and interview with Joss where he did say Spike would be vamp with a soul, so I don't think he's human 😉

Also, iluvspike, if you watch the beginning you will understand more.

PS I love Spike's hair!
 
Ugh! I can't wait until Saturday! (that's when we get the ep here in Saskatchewan). I've been a little "worried" about the whole idea that Dawn could possibly be the new slayer if they do a season 8 and the idea of the "scrappy gang" thing ... BUT - I was doing some thinking and I've decided I'm not gonna really worry about it. I love the show! And even though it's been controversial and went in directions I didn't expect, I love how Joss works things out and can bring in all these suprises and twists. I just wanna enjoy the season and how everything will be resolved. Plus with Faith's return for a few eps this season I'm extra excited.

Alright. Now I'm going to have to go back to feeling sorry for myself - especially since my co-worker just stopped by my office to rub in the fact that he has digital cable and got to watch the sesason premiere yesterday! Ahhh....I can wait a few more days <repeats in head over and over again>

WOW can I say that first shock of seeing spike still trying to get over it , he looked awsome the whole hair thing and did anyone else catch him saying no one here but us three now that I think about it was he talking about buffy ,himself and the shapshifter or Buffy his demon and his soul ? interesting thing to stew over! I loved the whole father daughter motif between Giles and WIllow !!! oh and Xander BIg head guy now on the job crew but I am a little disappointed that the show seems to be focusing more on Danw and the new scoobies I do hope its not that way the whle season . But still loved it !!!!!😛
 
Hello everyone, Im new here.... just wanted to say i love the episode it was great...... I love when buffy was talking to the dead people and they dead guy says he would like to make dawn his girlfriend, and buffy says wrong, im the sister that dates dead guys and no offense they were both hotties....... teee heee. 😀
 
Who watched the season premere?

The season premere was awsome. Spike was hott as ever and Xander wasn't to bad either. I can't wait till we find out who the shape shifter is. But how ever it is is really really old. older than the vengince old ones. Can anyone even imagin Buffy giving advice? this should be very interesting.::wave::

Query - Did you catch the name of the new Principal?

I thought it was "Robin Good".... if so, I may have deduced his role in this season's hi-jinks!

Please let me know if that was his name, and if you want to know why I think it's important.
