What you guys think of this movie? It's a remake of Sweedish film Let The Right One In that's based on a book. It looks better then Twilight, LOL.

Holy crap, I'm disturbed (which I guess is what they were going for, so *props*). Evil in children always gets me. D:
But yeah, better than Twilight! ;D

Me too. Evil kids freak me out, but then again I always watch movies about them.
I loved the original, so I'd be interested in the remake. I just hope it's as good!

I love the original... It was the first movie I'd ever watched in Swedish, only with English subtitles, but it was such a touching love story, even with the extreme violence and vampire aspect and everything.

I don't know. Americans have a way of making everything very bloody and gruesome, so I'll be really interested to see if they're able to keep the more chilling (literally as well as figuratively, with the atmosphere so wintry all the time!) and subtle tone of the original, Let The Right One In, for this version.

This looks good, but I want to see the original first. Every time I go to check out movies, I forget about it. I'm hoping one of these days I'll actually remember.🙂

Will probably watch it out of curiosity.

However, the thing I liked the most about the original movie was the setting. A Swedish kid in the early 80's.
It felt very close to me since I was around that age myself back then and I think they did a great job capturing that.

Think I'll miss that in these new version, it being an american movie and all. 🙂

Is that the kid from "The Road" btw? He was pretty good.

/SK

I also loved the original.. I don't see the need for a remake but I hope it's good nevertheless.

Wow, I didn't know "let the right one in" was famous outside Sweden, I'm so glad to hear that many of you has watched it. It really is a great movie with great actors, even if I liked the book that it's based on more. I really recommend that you read it, it's one of the best book I ever read. The authors name is John Ajvide Lindqvist. All of his books are really great.

Oh, and I love "let the right one in" is taken from the Morrissey song "let the right one slip it": [ame="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aKsKxr768xw"]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aKsKxr768xw[/ame] I probably would go see the international version, but I doubt it is as good as the orginal, mostly 'cause the swedish version is really relatable to me. Not saying this version wouldn't be, but it won't have the same settings and so on.

I'm American and "Let The Right One In," is one of my favorite films!
I will see this the main girl Chloe is so cute and has such a great personality she had me laughing so hard on interviews. Also everyone says good things about the boy from the road.
Like a lot of you I want to check out the original first.

Chloe was amazing in Kick Ass!
I don't think it looks very good, but maybe it's because the original is a one of a kind or because I don't like American remakes. But I loved "Let The Right One In," one of my favorite films and I loved the ending where they ran away together!

Here is the new longer trailer

Yeah I worked with Kodi on The Road - he's really great 🙂

Usually I'm anti-remake but I do think there are some things that could have been improved upon in the original, so if they do that I think it will be really good. Turn a good movie into a great one. It looks and feels a lot like the original. From the trailer you can see that they left the awesomest scene in the movie in the remake, and if you've seen it you know what I'm talking about, so *phew*.

I just saw the original so now I'm intrigued to see this version too, I hope it'll be good too 🙂
