Unfortunately a lot of people who are into the Beatles do have rather more money than sense. A lot of the gift and souvenir shops in Liverpool have various bits of merchandise and none of it cheap. It brings people to the city who wouldn't otherwise go, but it probably isn't going to inspire anybody to be more interested in the music.
