A&E, the station that brought Norman Bates to the small screen in the series Bates Motel, is now bringing the Swedish horror film Pipi Longstock... er, uh, Let the Right One In to the small screen as well. Teen Wolf showrunner Jeff Davis and actor-screenwriter Brandon Boyce are set to adapt the Swedish vampire story.

A&E won a bidding war against Showtime for the show.

Wow, I'm not sure how that's going to work as a TV-show. Further more I'm not sure why everything needs to be adapted for TV. Kind of feeling like the market is saturated enough as it is. Re-makes here and there, adaptations to the left and right... I guess "less is more" is considered passé?

I did not think Bates Motel would work.. and granted, I've not watched it, but the hipsters like @janas say it works. But yeah, it's another vampire remake.. I dont know. A&E gives me hope. And the fact Showtime wanted it. It might be more than surface.

My ex-boyfriend tried to make me watch this and I just so wasn't interested then and I'm not interested now. Wasn't there already an English-language remake of this?

And if Jeff Davis screws over Teen Wolf any more than he already has over this I'm going to scream. He's already made me hate the new season and it hasn't even started yet! I miss my boy!! *rocks in a corner*

Yeah, this isn't for me, lol.

To be fair the film version of Teen Wolf was already pretty bad. But yeah I would think a TV version is even worse.

Is this Hoechlin related or has something else happened?
It cant get worse can it?

Never seen the movie. LOVE the show, or at least, I did up until S4. S4 was pretty bad, with things that didn't make sense, plot lines that went nowhere, characters getting screwed over and leaving without any explanation!!!

I'm not getting over it any time soon, lol.

No, it's Hoechlin. His character had arguable the biggest, bestest set up for the upcoming season and they've just decided that he's not important enough. I don't blame Hoechlin for wanting to do something different, his character really wasn't treated the best last season, but I'm annoyed that they had the perfect set up for something amazing for Derek's character and it'll go nowhere. As per freaking usual with TW.

So I guess I didn't miss much when I got frustrated and dropped out at the start of season 4 then...

I kinda liked it up until I think S3. I even signed up to the Teen Wolf boards. Then S3 and I was starting to question why.. then S4 and I thought dammit, shouldn't have signed up.
No, it's Hoechlin.
I think he was the glue really that held everything together. When I heard the news I thought about you actually! hahah

With no Derek, no Peter and no Argent this season, the kids are really, completely on their own. The mythology and history has been taken out of the whole story.
