2002 was the big *coming of age* year for me. So its fitting that BB was born then!

It was the year that I caught up on Buffy before the finale aired here in 03. Possibly my first ever binge watch! I saw early seasons on tv well before that but wasnt allowed to watch it at boarding school. So once I was finished school and couch surfing between jobs, I stayed with a mate who had a burnt copy on dvd. The rest is history....

GTA Vice City (I loved hearing 80's music & setting) 😍.
Britney & Justin 🥺 I remember (the beginning of Britney's downfall) and then later Justin made a music video of Cry Me A River.....

I was like 8 years old. I didn't own a computer, iphone, PS3 or not even a dvd player back then. Now it seems impossible to not have a phone, it has become so important these days.
I only had a vhs player 😉 integrated in very little sized TV. One of my brother had a PS1 (I remember him playing Gran Turismo, Resident Evil, Crash Bandicoot, FF7 ... which were big games back then). My other brother (the older of the family) had an old computer which he would give us some time here & there when he was absent to play games installed in his computer (Donkey Kong, Sonic....). It was like gold when he was absent & let us play 😌.
I remember Pokemon was still new/famous & we could exchange Pokemons with two Gameboys. 😅
I used to love Sophie Ellis Bextor's video music of Murder On The Dancefloor (Really fun music video of Sophie killing everyone to win the prize lol 🤣) when I used to record music videos with VHS but I don't know if it's 2002 & not later.

Just a guess : Star Academy (A French talent singing show), 7th Heaven, Hilary Duff, Nina Sky or Lumidee 😀, Daft Punk, E.R (show), Sophie Ellis Bextor, Natalie Umbriglia, Shania Twain (I loved Ka Ching & Gonna get you good), DBZ games were new & gold on PS1/PS2. Scary Movie 🤣

Assejere by Las Ketchup was a BIG HIT & the Papi Chulo song was DIRTY. Oh and Truth Hurts - Addictive was so danceable but was revealed to be stolen concent.

Oh my gosh you just unearthed a huge nostalgia bomb. Remember those promotions they’d do at toy or game stores where they’d download Pokémon into your game?

I remember oh so many years ago being in line at a Toys R Us and trading with some random kid via LINK CABLE.
 
I tried to find some cool tunes but 2002 sucked for chart hits.

I was lounging about in my country retreat . It was still a novelty back then. I would wake up in relative tranquility and feel like the luckiest man alive .

Did Glastonbury that year as a giant puppeteer . The big fence went up, it was quiet by Glasto standards . Nice vibe .

Bought GTA Vice City on launch day .Went on a 5 hour bus adventure to Carmarthen to get my copy . Loved it . I would literally steal a softtop Stallion just to park up by the water and listen to the radio while watching the sunset 🙂
 
Not sure if I remember anything specific from 2002.
Feels like one of those sad years that just passed by while busy at work.

I knew nothing about BtVS back then anyway.
