Did anyone notice that Joss and the creators of Buffy and Angel never kept the characters power the same?

For example:

The Master in season one wasn't a threat when you took away his telekinetic power. Than in one season of Angel, I forget which, they showed him seriously beating the crud outta Angel.

Remember the first Turak-Hon to come outta the Hellmouth? It kicked the crud out of Buffy and sent her, Willow, Dawn, Xander, Andrew and five potential Slayers running for their lives. Then in the series finale somehow they were all able to take on an army of them by themselves, even the humans.

Also, in the season five finale Buffy took on a God and didn't seem to have to much of a problem. Then in season six she had a problem taking on a simple vampire in that episode when The Trio wanted to get that chip from the vampires.

Another being Vampire Willow. In "The Wish" she didn't seem to have any fighting experience at all. But when we saw her a a few episode laters she took on two vampires bigger than her and won.

And, Angel in the season three final of Buffy was taking on the vampires in 5 seconds. None of them even hit him once. Than in the episode where they fight vampires in that hotel room he has a little trouble taking on one vampire.

Anyone see what I mean?

About the Turok Hans...It could be that the first one was the boss of them all, and much stronger then the rest, maybe that's why he came out first?
I don't know about the Master, haven't seen him in Angel...
Buffy had a big god hammer to smash Glory with in s5. That would help alot I think.
Don't know about Vamp Willow...Can't remember her not seeming to have any fighting experience...
And about other vampires they struggle with, vampires are different. Some are stronger and smarter then others, and if the person fighting them is distracted by something, or has a bad day, it will be harder defeating them.
