In a bombshell shakeup at the WB Network, sources said Jordan Levin is poised to resign his post as chief executive of the network that he has helped shape during the past decade as a senior creative executive. The prospect of Levin's departure caught the television industry by surprise on Monday morning. Levin was promoted to the CEO post at the WB last fall in preparation for the departure of founding chairman and CEO Jamie Kellner, who formally stepped down last month. At the time, WB, Fox and NBC veteran Garth Ancier was brought back to the WB fold as chairman to share Kellner's former duties with Levin. Sources said Levin was expected to segue to a producing deal with Warner Bros.

Levin Jumps From The WB

The man behind the cancellation of ANGEL has resigned from his position at the WB.

Jordan Levin, CEO of The WB, has left the network. Garth Ancier, who was chairman of the WB, now takes over sole control.

Levin will have a multi-year production deal at WB parent Warner Bros. He was promoted to co-CEO last fall and became CEO when Jamie Kellner retired last May. That would likely leave more than two years left on his contract.

Warner Bros. Entertainment Chairman/CEO Barry Meyer had recently asked Ancier to be sole number one, asking Levin to return to his former post as president of entertainment, but Levin declined.

The WB is coming off a tough year, down by double-digits in some key demos.

I've been reading other message boards as the news gets out. You know what they're saying?

About a year too late though. It's like the bloody show, something great happens, but its too late. Oh the angst.
 
One might think that to resort to kicking a man when he's down is the height of pettiness, and one should rise above that sort of thing.
But.....hmmm......not in THIS case. I realize I will not be setting a very good example with this......but I choose to release the beast, and it feels GOOOD!

I am a bitter, vindictive ANGEL fan right now because of this man....and am I supposed to care that Levin has to step down from his lofty perch?

Well BOO to the HOO.....I wouldn't give two f___s about this guy getting removed. The cancellation of ANGEL was a bone headed move....a move that deserves of Levin getting bumped down to assistant to the ASSISTANT of the company janitor.....whiling away the hours down on his knees, using his reptilian tongue to clean the bathroom floors.

We would've followed ANGEL to hell.....and Levin needs to just GO there.

Alrighty then...my moment of madness has passed. I shall now go to the church down the block and say five Hail Marys for my outburst.......
 
The humilation of Levin is justice of the poetic kind, no doubt, and not just because of Angel.

Let's not forget Levin was the genius who thought the disgrace-a-thon that was WB Sewerstars (oops I meant Superstars) was a good idea.

The guy who thought it would be funny to disgrace others on national TV, is now himself disgraced in the international media. As I said before - poetic.
 
YAY!! thats so awesome i knew he'd go down and look how soon after angel 😉 i still say that played a major roll in it expecially cause of all the fans they are really fired up over everything he has done (still) the pressure got to him hehehe

but that superstar thing was an reallly BAD idea i just thought he was cruel i mean ya it was funny but those poor people 🙁
 
How about hoping for permanet comatosing? But seriously I hope he gets a job away from TV, a nice one thats focused on money and nobody cares.
 
There are varying stories on what's going to happen to Levin now.

There's the one Ana8 mentioned that says "Levin will have a multi-year production deal at WB parent Warner Bros."

There's another one that says he'll be shuffled back to the job he had before he got his promotion.

Apparently Levin has a 2 year contract with Warner, so they have to do something with them.

After the contract expires, I'd be surprised if you heard anything more about him.
 
We're happy because a man lost his job?. He made a terrible mistake but we all make mistakes.

Let's just hope Garth Ancier will help us, the fans. Angel movies perhaps?
 
I think we're more happy because he got his comupance. Or because we're all disgruntled fans.

And okay Faith, no talk of comas.

Wouldn't it be wild if now that Levin is gone, Angel is coming back, or something like that?
 
definitely....It'd sooo make my day..no my whole miserable and wortless life even...but not even get me started on things like this..coz they never turn out to be true...
