Life is full of regrets. Things we wish we would have done differently. What are yours?

See, I don't. And I don't want to sound like one of those "everything happens for a reason" super philosophical hipster type freaks... but I really believe that everything I did that sucks in my life has made me stronger. I learned from my mistakes. The biggest thing I ever screwed up was doing bad in high school, but if I hadn't done that, I probably wouldn't have watched Buffy and my whole life would be different. MAYBE I would have done better in school during the past year. That's probably all I would change. Everything else made me who I am.

I regret that I didn't react differently to the bullying in sixth grade. Part of me wants to go back in time and beat the crap out of the bullies; but mostly I just want to go back and laugh in their faces and own the insulting nickname that they gave me and really rise above it. But I also agree with zobo that it certainly contributed to making me who I am today. And I can't be surprised that I reacted like a sixth-grader would, instead of how my mature self would react to such a thing today.

I have oceans of regret. I could drown in them.... But I try to just float and trust the current.

(sorry, I like water metaphors)

Stuff I regret? Lots. Lots and lots. Lots and lots of it involving women.

Stuff I'd do differently? None. Too much of a fatalist/determinist to bother thinking about stuff like that.

Eh. There are some things I regret, mostly how I used to treat some people. I used to be a little evil.

But I quit that. Mostly thanks to Buddha, Buffy, and Doctor Who. lol

If only. Those must be the two saddest words in the world

I don't think you have lived life at all if you don't have regrets. They are an inevitability.

As I speak now, there are things I would go back and change if I could. But who is to say in year? In ten years? that I will feel the same? I could have more regrets. Or, if I am incredibly lucky and my future offers me more than my present, I could have none.

As me again in 60 years 😉

When I was in school, we had Sports Day. And back then I was very athletic. I was very good at long jumping (among other stuff). I had the chance to jump and even get a golden medal. But I didn't jump. I decided not to. And I regret it till today, because I had a good chance there.

There's only 3 things I regret at this current moment. Taking my time with my grandfather for granted, and taking for granted the time I had with Tippsy. And the other is more recent and I'd rather not talk about...

Yeah... Relationships can be a great way to bring out really bad behaviors...(for me at least)

I like the second part of what you said. The idea of fate is very comforting to me.

Hmm regrets. I regret something I said to my sister once because after that she pushed me into a palm tree and I had to get stitches. Some things have obvious consequences.

Regrets? I've had a few,
But then again, too few to mention.

If I was going to mention some they would all involve high school. I wish I had have stayed and finished high school, I wish I hadn't have been so nasty to some of the girls, I wish I hadn't reacted the way I did to bullying.

More recently I suppose my biggest regret is spending so much money on my credit card, and not cutting loose my relationship much much earlier.

Loves lost, opportunities missed, paths not taken, words spoken in haste, too late, or not at all. In 63 years, I've accumulated more than my share of each and every one. If I chose to dwell on them, I would be right there in that dark room with Angel.

don't go there. unless it's too beat him up/stake him. ;)
Lots and lots of regrets.

Chances I didn't take because I was shy or lazy, lies told, friendships broken.. pocket full of regrets. But I guess, that's how life goes. We make bad decisions because we have to learn something, even if that means losing something or someone along the way.
