Just recently watched this episode with TK (he's on season 5 right now) and I can't help but love it. It seems like a throwaway fun episode, but there's some great Lorne character stuff in there. Wes and Fred's drunk act is definitely the funniest thing, especially when Wes is trying to say presumably and it comes out presumily. 😀

Oh wow, I love this episode. Especially Wesley and Fred were hilarious. "You want a piece of me, buddy? That's right, keep walking. You walk alone, you walk alone!"

Really funny moments but that little demon slave boy on a leash is almost too distracting. With his blue wrist blood, tiny panties, and almost only line of "pee-pee" which he seems to find very appetizing. The 'ewww' doesn't outweigh the 'haha' and it's a good episode but episodes like this and the Numero Cinco one that follows don't really have a point. Not that there's anything wrong with that but I wish they would have started building towards the finale from the beginning of the season so it didn't feel so rushed and awkward at the end.
Also, I love Lorne's character but I hate how pointless he is in season 5. There was no place at all for him in Wolfram and Hart so they had to make up some entertainment division for him to run. Why would W&H need an entertainment division? I'd hate to see the show without him but just like Dawn, he didn't really fit anywhere. At least the Dawn-centered episode (Potential) of season 7 moved the main story along.

My review of the ep from another forum.
Ok I'm most likely going to be in the minority for most of my comments but hey.
I like how this episode shows that Lorne's transition was as difficult as the others, we just never see it until now.
Another point I like is that Eve says that Angel bottles everything up. This is analogous with Lorne. Not only does Lorne bottle his feelings but also his moral views. Lorne is normally the person that Angel would open up to but now he hasn't all his memories Eve actually has the inside scope on Angel's feelings.
The scene in the elevator show that Angel is a shadow of himself. Angel before has nearly always been sure what to do. He had that conviction. Sure he changed his mind but he mostly believed in what he was doing, even in his dark season 2 phase. Now Angel is unsure and conflicted showing that Hauser was in that respect right. Now Angel has lost passion he's unsure of where he's going and we'll see this continued in later episodes and doesn't really become 'cured' until your welcome.
Focusing a bit a on Lorne. He's being what he's been in the past the host of the party. It's questionable that Lorne let pretty much anything into his club, however when Lorne fights against the Beast we see a huge leap. He's willing to risk his life and take a stance showing that if pushed to it Lorne will pick a side. Before Lorne would let baby eating monsters into his club. I think Lorne's subconscious is more respresentive of his development.
Before his credo was the accomodate for everyone and in a way that's what they are doing at W&H. If they cross too many potential enemies then business would be bad and they effectively would render their branch useless against the fight against evil and that is if they still have it.
Ok onto what Lorne told the rest of the gang. He told Gunn to stake his territory but he just ended up peeing everywhere. In a strange way this is foreboding that Gunn's growing sense of importance is going to lead to unexpected damage.
He tells Wes and Fred to be drunk. Even when he's drunk he still finds it difficult to tell Fred how he feels. He finds himself in a similar position he did in Season 3. He remains closed lipped and let's the other guy swoop in.
Although Spike said there are worst things than being a ghost, I imagine it's still not great for him to be ghost. He's being negative about Halloween not just because he doesn't like the holiday, it's because he's generally feeling down. Spike is made to be more positive by Lorne but to be honest he's able to do that himself.
Not a bad ep for me but it does feel a little bit episode of the week.

Gunn's growing investment in W&H is scary. He doesn't even question the ramifications for Lorne getting his sleep removed and considers it himself to go with his legal upgrade.
Lorne told Angel and Eve to get some is suppose to be indicative of the sexual tension between them. Eve is supposed to be morally ambiguous and kind of flirting with the shades of grey and she flirts with Angel too, in a sort of respresentation of "Can you trust me?" "I'm trying to tempt you" sort of way. Angel's response is anger and this is supposed to be sexy. It just doesn't work for me. It looks good on paper but either because of Sarah Thompson for lack of chemistry between ST and DB. I don't know but I know I don't like it.
The Lorne beast was pretty damn hard. Had they known about this side effect of Lorne's sleep deprivation they shouldn't have let him sleep in Season 4 and let the Lorne beast fight the Beast. lol.

I loved this epi. Really, very funny, although the Archdukes little slave boy really creeped me out, just like the whole Angel/ Eve. My favorites were Wes and Fred, and also Gunn.
