Okay so when I went to interview for my internship, they gave me an advance copy of this CD. And it's actually pretty good - not what I really expected. Not as pop-y as I thought it would be.

I agree.She can't sing, lip synchs, and doesn't write or produce her own material.She's just a fake.So you should honour and congradulate the composers (producers, writers,etc,..) who actually made the songs.
Yeah because she had absolutely nothing to do with it 😉 Most artists don't write or produce their own stuff, and are required to lip synch. But you'll notice I was commenting on the CD itself, not on her particular part in it.

And not many artists do write their own songs, even some of those who we revel at their talents, just because someone writes awesome, chart topping songs better than you do, doesn't mean you can get famous singing them.
