Linsey Speculation

I'm very confused about Linsey's behavior this season. Is it just me or is it completely out of character for him suddenly to become uber-evil? Before he left to "find himself" he risked his life to save those blind psychic kids and refused the position when W&H premoted him over Lilah, because he didn't care for the firm and thought that she would be killed. Linsey was never a particuarly nice guy, but he didn't strike me as the type of person who enjoys evil. Any theories? ::eyes::

I think we really have to wait and see all of his motives behind what he's doing. But so far I was thinking the same thing you did. It's like a complete 180 for his character. He seemed to be on a good path, and now he just seems evil.

We haven't seen him for two years. Two years can be a long time, it only took Angel one and a half year do turn Lindsey to good, maybe somebody else got his way with Lindsey aswell.

But still, it's a 180 turn, so some explanantion would be nice.

Maybe he was caught by W&H and turned evil? No one has ever managed to leave W&H before.

Yea, but
The senior partners obviously do not know he's around until the end of You're Welcome
, so I don't think he was caught by W&H, because wouldn't they know about it....

Lindsay's motives are unclear, and are likely to remain that way if Joss has anything to do with it. In my opinion, he's looking for revenge on the Senior Partners. As for the evil/not evil thing, he says at one point in S1 that he had a "crisis of conscience" and that it had passed. He was forgiven by W&H for his lapse in helping Angel, and he returned to being "Evil Lawyer [guy]" (sorry Faith!). I don't think he's gone good, I just think he's out to take some revenge on the Sr. Partners for the stuff in the past...he is trying to play them from an "invisible" vantage point. It's not a stretch to see that as leading to attempted destruction of the Sr. P's.

Ok, just watched "You're Welcome" 'cause I'm on a 7 DAY delay, not just 7 minutes...I guess Angel was his target all along, but I'm worried about Angel and the whole "protected by the Sr. Partners" thing...that's a sinister development all by itself!

Yeah. Its interesting, in the prophecy the vampire with a soul will be instrumental in the Apocalypse. It doesn't tell whether that vampire will fight for good or evil, however. A lot earlier the Senior Partners didn't let Lilah kill Angel and even told her to protect him at one point. If they are still protecting Angel, maybe they think that he can be turned into their champion.

I think the most disturbing thing was that Angel let the Sr. Partners do his "waste disposal" routine on Lindsey, and didn't seem the least bit disturbed that a human with a soul was being carried off for torture and (presumed) messy death. Lindsey is evil, but there is a spark of good, as we saw, and Angel is big on the redemption thing...so why am I wigged about the seemingly cozy way Angel accepts the intervention of the Sr. Partners?

I don't know I'm completely weirded out by Angel this season.
Spoiler-highlight to view:If Cordy had been in a coma in season 3 for instance he would have gone crazy in order to save her and wake her up. He can't blaim her for Jasmine's actions so why did he leave her to evil W&H who want him to work for them. They had no interest in waking her up. That really seems out of character as well.

Is Angel supposed to turn into an evil character. I really hope not.

I don't think you need to say it's a spoiler if you're talking about season 5 in the season 5 disscusion forum... do you?

Anyway, I don't think that Lindsey has gone evil, don't you remember Lindsey trying to take Angel down with his truck and a sledge hammer because of Darla? He still hated Angel when he left no matter how much he hated W&H.
I think I make a good point.

Yes I agree.
And that's me as well, good job FTC! HOOT! HOOT!

Why thank you. :: teeth :
