Lingering OMWF Questions

Wow, this first question is really good one. I never thought about that, that way. It could really be both. At that time I really think she wanted to go away, but there was this thin line that was keeping her awake - his friends, who brought her back. In the end she really loved them, but she also hated them for bringing her back. This is really intersting, I'm gonna think about that more. Thanks cookiedough 😀

Basically what everyone else has said; she needed a reason to sing and something to live for. I always liked that line, too, when she says, "Don't give me songs, give me something to sing about!" And Sweets just shakes his head because he can't. And really no one else can either. Buffy has to find that herself.

As for I've Got a Theory, I think it's definitely supposed to point out that Buffy doesn't really care anymore. The next part of it I always took as her "going through the motions," or making the Scoobies feel confident and roused to action. It's usually her job to give the big speeches, and she still does, but she can't help voicing how she really feels--that it doesn't really matter.
