LiveJournal

I haven't really used mine in years but I might try to revive it, if only because it's interesting to be able to look back at something like that long after the fact. Pretty sure mine wouldn't be of interest to anyone else though. Most of it is like, "I went to the bar last night, and blah blah blah!"

Well, bar stories can be very interesting... 😉

Believe me, I have a few.

I made a LJ like a year ago and have never used it, i dunno what i'd use it for. o_o
Ha.

I have a livejournal too but have only been using it to check out others fan fiction.

I think I would like to take a stab at writing a story sometime...I want to set up my journal to look all cool. I guess I would need a banner and a name...which means I have to decide on a "theme." EEK? I'll have to give it some thought...

I think I'd like it to be Spuffy themed for sure.

Eh, I don't really care for LJ. I started that fic there, but I'm not gonna finish it there. I'm thinking of moving it to buffy.adultfanfiction.net

Aw, why? 🙁 You need to spread your fic around in different communities in order for people to know about it. 🙂

I know, but I just don't care much for how LJ is laid out and stuff. :(

I can totally see where you're coming from. I started my LJ account just to be able to read a friend's closed updates. Now I stick around just because I'm too lazy to figure wordpress out.

For livejournal to really work for you, you need to be a member of the various communities, and have friended people with similar interests. Then you'll get into the whole comment-leaving, comment-receiving exchange and it becomes far too addictive. 😀

I find LJ just kind of OK. I've joined alot of communities and have friended a few people and it's fine, mostly I leave comments on a couple of comms and a few WIP's that I'm following but I think how I enjoy fandom is really more conducive with the forum set up. I feel I can make myself part of a community with a forum but on LJ it feels like I'm auditioning to be part of the "cool kids" or something. I think I'll stick to lurking.

Exactly! I think I'm much better suited to forums than communities like LJ. I don't like having to join 8,000 different groups just to try to be heard somewhere, you know?
