Sure, the whole demon as a roomate thing might not be the most exciting storyline ever...

But the episode is hilarious. It has some of the funniest scenes in the entire series.
I love it. Just thinking about it makes me smile.

Ha, I was surprised when I learned that Katy is a REAL demon. I thought Buffy just imagined it. I think SMG should have pulled it off better with the less-soulful thing. But I gotta love this episode because roommate thing is close to my life. 😉

I LOVE this episode!! My first roomie in college reminded me of Kathy SO much. I went through a lot of the same stuff Buffy did, such as the roomie listening to crazy hyper music non-stop, labeling all her stuff and going nuts if I asked to borrow anything, etc. I thought Buffy's reaction when she dropped the ketchup on the sweater was hilarious and the catty fighting they did was classic roomie war stuff. 😀 It may not be one of the best episodes of the season as far as the writing, but I thought it was a great standalone ep. 🙂

I thought this episode was great. I mean a lot of college students in their freshman year find their roommate to be almost demonic in their annoyances. My first roommate was just awful- she played Techno Hindi allllllll the time (A genre I didn't even now existed until I met her), and to make it worse it was the same three songs over and over again. She also did not seem to grasp the concept of 'turn it down'. She also used to complain about everything in the halls. Luckily for me, she decided to leave college three/four months in so I was roommateless for about a month until another girl who'd asked for a transfer got thrown in with me. And she was thankfully, lovely.

So, personal story aside, I thought this was a great and albeit-hit-you-over-the-head-with-the-message-metaphor episode to explore that. I mean you're really lucky if the first person you are roomed with you get along with.

Course my roommate didn't try and "borrow" my soul but still....

This episode was kind of whatever for me, I dont absolutely hate it but its definitely not one of my favourites. The best part of the episode for me was the Buffy/Oz stuff, it was so rare to have the two of them together like that on the show, "On the plus side, you killed the bench, which was looking shifty" 😀

They could've just written them to be room mates in the first place so I don't think that's the reason! 😛

I actually really like this episode, its silly yes but its simple and pretty true when it comes to roomates or people who are difficult to live with, i watch it a lot and it still makes me laugh 🙂

I could take or leave this episode. Its not one of my favorites. I know it was meant as a none serious, light episode but the last scene with Buffy and Willow annoys me slightly, when Willow easts Buffy's sandwitch and Buffy glares at her, implying that she's not going to get on with Willow either. I know I'm overlooking a 5 second scene but that bothered.

Everything else was ok. Buffy played the slightly crazy obsessed person quiet well. The toe nail clippings scene was disgusting!!

I think it's an allright episode. I think anyone who's had a roommate they don't care for can relate a little to Buffy's plight. And the aforementioned Oz quote is one of my favorites.
