Don't expect too much from the lovely Brogan...she isnt THE baddie of the story....but finally, people are reading it:)
I Finlay had a chance to catch up on my reading! I really like it, Good to see you haven't lost the touch of the cliff-hanger ends you can do so well!

The character of Kate is so interesting, I love how she appears not to care but she is showing signs that her time has a cop is still effecting her.

nice chapter, Al. your writing is always supurb, and your descriptions are excellent. i like the character of Brogan, but yo said she wasn THE baddie, so i'll say nothing more.
like everyone else, i wanna know who the guy in th red robe is!

sorry its been a while, stuff happens ya know.

Three days earlier, London, England.

Andrew Wells had never been popular. His entire life he was somebody's brother, somebody's sidekick or even somebody's fall guy, well that was until a year ago. Somebody finally gave the guy a chance to show his worth, his possibilities. When he had tentatively joined the "˜Scoobies', as they were cheekily called by non members, he knew he was signing on for his probable death, but he had no choice. He had joined on the cause of helping Buffy "˜the Slayer of the Vampyre' through very little initial choice of his own in an attempt to rid the world of a threat the likes of which had not been seen by the human race before. In the previous year, along with his friends Jonathan and Warren, he had tried to usurp power in Sunnydale in the meantime causing havoc to the citizens on a "˜Bond' Villain scale. This, however, led to the tragic death of Willow Rosenberg's girlfriend.
Immediately following this act, Willow went "˜Sith' on Warren flaying him alive, and then turned her attentions on Andrew and Jonathan. Luckily, with a little reluctant help from the Slayer, The evil Duo managed to escape with their lives, then in another lucky twist of fate, escaped their new captors and made their way to Mexico, where a new life was planned.
This new life was short lived, however, when an evil entity known as "˜The First Evil' took the guise of Warren and coerced Andrew to go return to Sunnydale and kill his only living friend Jonathan.
The Slayer eventually caught up with Andrew, but due to the massive upheaval in Sunnydale, kept him prisoner in her home. Eventually, with some reluctance from the Scoobies, Andrew became part of the team and after the War, Rupert Giles took him under his wing and began to show him what it took to be a Watcher.
Andrew was not as dumb as people believed, he knew the reason he was being trained was a combination of lack of Watchers and a need to be watched over, but he didn't mind. Finally he was doing something of worth and eventually people would respect him, he hoped.
Again, this was short-lived as the only person to give him this chance, Giles, died in the line of duty.
Andrews position within the council was questioned before Giles' death, but now without anyone to back him up, he knew it was only a matter of time before he was evicted from his new world, and he didn't mind admitting the prospect of "˜going it alone' petrified him.
"I'll have another" said Andrew to the barman who was standing opposite.
Andrew looked away from the empty glass on the counter and studied his surroundings.
He was sat at the bar of a quaint English pub. The walls had a garish green wall covering with what appeared to be flecks of wood chip painted over, giving them a rough feel. The stools were old and rickety looking, giving the impression that anyone of a mildly large build then himself would cause a full scale collapse of the piece of furniture. The was a whiff in the air of cooked food, giving Andrew pause for thought about what he should eat.
"Ahem" came a voice from behind Andrew.
Andrew turned to see the barman stood obviously waiting to say something.
"Diets off," the Barman said.
"Ohh, well I'll just have a regular coke," he replied, "and can I have a straw this time?"
Andrew saw the chuckle the barman tried to suppress.
He was just abut to call the man on it when inside his blazer his cell phone began to chime.
His eyes caught those of the barman again who was obviously doing all he could to suppress further chortles at the ring tone currently blasting out, "˜Rule Britannia' wasn't exactly cool at the best of times, but an American in a British country pub was almost too much.
"Hello, Andrew Wells Watcher" answered Andrew in his phoney British voice.
This was too much for the barman, Andrew watched as the man ran to the door at the other end of the bar and force through it.
Immediately after a loud howl of a laugh was heard followed by what sounded like a tray of glasses fall to the floor.
"Andrew, Mr Wyndam-Pryce needs you in his office" a female voice said on the other end of the line, "a car should be waiting for you outside now."
Before Andrew could even answer the woman hung up the phone leaving Andrew half way through a thank you comment.
He placed the phone back in his jacket and pulled out a 10 pound note. Leaving this on the bar he walked to the open door and saw the car waiting exactly as he was told it would be.

Ooooh nice addition Al! Love how you added in Andrew, and the way you did it (in re-telling his life on btvs) was a really good idea; it allows us to get re-aquainted with his character from Andrew's pov, and understand how and why he is the way he is at this point in time. You also did a great job of capturing his character, especially all the small quirks and such (LOVED the bartender bit, was very amusing 😀). Like how you've brought in and mentioned more characters from both ats/btvs. Giles dead 🙂cry2: ) creates and interesting situation for Andrew, and I can't wait to read how you're bringing Wes into the mix. Great work, more soon! :bounce:

who said it was Wes?
lol AL! you wrote Andrew so well haha good work buddy! I liked the backstory you told, it got everyone back up to speed. I'm guessing 'mr. Wydam Price' is Wes's dad right? good work, can't wait for more.

If Roger ragged on Wes can you just imagine what poor Andrew is in store for?
Good intro of Andrew. Still trying to figure out why the Watcher's Council is involved in this one though?

You know me better by now surely🙂

Ohh and yeah, Sorry AS, this is a continuation of NFA/OF so Wesley is indeed dead and in heaven, so it is Mr Roger thats called him in.

In this one i wanted a similar scene to Lockley's in that we get a sense of him being alone, but with a more tongue in cheek side, for instance 'i'll have another' implying he's on shots, but the barman revealing its actually only a coke.
The voice thing too, i know my mom puts on an extreme posh voice when answering the phone, so i thought Andrew would too and posh to him would be English....

ok, well i hope to have more soon ok🙂

Maybe I should have phrased it this way..."How are you going to put that perverted little twist in having the Watchers Council involved with this one?" lol
