Hi all,

I was just watching Smallville that I recorded and it reminded me how much I miss the real Superman series. Teri Hatcher was exquisite as Lois Lane (by the way she is coming back to TV on Desperate Housewifes on ABC). Dean Cain also is returning to TV. The show was great, the cast was great. I believe they could of survived another few seasons if ABC would of not shift timeslot every two weeks ! What did you guys like about this series?
::love::

Well I liked Dean Cain- but who wouldn't??? 😉 The whole series was quite interesting..and definitely better than Smallville IMO

I found the series to be incredibly childish containing poor writing, lack of continuity and lack of character progression as well as quality. Most of the episodes were very annoying, and contained winks of 5-year old humor and plot devices that belong on Nikelodeon.

Well thats just my opinion :: teeth :

I have to disagree. My hole family enjoyed it. There was continuity on the show, they were not all stand alone episodes with a bad guy of the week. Mainly it was Lex Luthor. SMALLVILLE as a bad guy of the week. Dean Cain was incredible as Clark Kent and Teri Hatcher was also fabulous. The last season was the most fantastic one of all.

i really liked the show..dean cain made a good job as clark kent...but can someone tell me how did the series ended, coz here they didn't show the last eps.. 🙁

I agree that the show was childish and silly, but there were things about it I liked, and considering the fact that I was childish and silly at the time when it aired, I'm gonna have to say it was great! 😀

The show ended (in the last few episodes) when Lois learned that she would not be able to get pregnant of Clark Kent. The final scene shows a baby, in a S blanket, that was left in the Kent's kitchen. No explanation was ever given on who was the babies parents, why it was there etc...

Well, I was a little kid when it was on, and I loved it. I always hear people talking about how Dean Cain was the worst Superman ever, but he was the first Superman I ever knew, so he'll always be cool to me. And I don't think there will EVER be a better Lois Lane than Terri Hatcher. Anyone here from the Smallville boards?

I have been known to frequent the Daily Planet boards occasionally and I think our esteemed admins are there sometimes 😉 Shame they seem to be closing - guess it's my fault for spending too much time here...

I haven't heard anything about them closing. Although it's been unbelievably slow over there. I posted a major spoiler there a few days ago, and no one's even replied. I love that place though...but none of the former "regulars" have been posting lately. What's your username on those boards, Mr. Pointy?

I'm Bibbo over there - not a major poster, more a lurker 🙂
