I just watched this episode with my partner (whom I have finally got him up to watching Angel :-D) and I spotted out something that didnt really make sense to me.

So theres that icky demon, who takes over one persons body after sharing bodily fluids with them (a sexual act).
The thing that doesnt fit to me is when he attempts to take over Kates body without being intimate with her.
Just a little question but something that will play on my mind xD

Also, who thinks that Kate and Angel would make such a badass couple :-D:cheering:

I dont think it was actually being intimate with them per se, just the intimacy allowed it easier access to them. I do!! I mean about Kate and Angel.. I really liked the Kate character and the actress I think did a wonderful job. But I think the fans didn't want it to happen.

I did quite like Kate, up until the whole finding out about vampires thing, then she got on my nerves a bit.

When I watched the first series for the first time I was dead against them getting together, mainly cos I was young and was still hurting from Angel leaving Buffy! And after watching it again recently I'm not dead against but I don't think they would have made a very good couple. I quite liked the little bit of chemistry between but for some reason I don't think they would have a successful relationship...but I can't put my finger on why...

I liked her better after she found out about vampires.. thought the character was fuller then and less one-dimensional.. I think when Angel allowed her pops to get killed is when her character went downhill.

I actually LOVED Kate. And Elisabeth Rohm in general.

Angel and Kate's relationship reminded me of that of Mulder and Scully, for some reason. LOL

I wonder if she was not blonde, ie an indirect resemblance to Buffy, if more people would have liked her. I remember Joss saying he got tons of mail saying dont let them get together. I thought they had good chemistry as, at least, partners.

Kate was an alright character but she was obviously created to be 'the love interest' and it just seemed kind of forced. For me, I didn't feel any chemistry between Angel and Kate. And it was probably too soon after Buffy.

First of all, Big Eww for the demon. Second Eww when it's in the bartender's body. But I really love that song when they showed how the demon moved from body to body. The beat of the song is unforgettable. 😀

And I really like Kate. I was awe when she revealed herself as an FBI agent. >_<

The writers really dropped the ball with Kate.


the actress is quite striking, the camera loves her.

Kate and Angel had nice friendship developing, which the writers killed after her father died.

I'm glad they parted on good terms though.

Too bad Rohm never returned for any guest appearances in later seasons.

I loved the Kate and Angel dynamic, and the character of Kate in general. I know the Lonely Hearts episode isn't well liked, but I thought it had some great character moments in it, and it's got a real sleazy LA feel to it.

Kate was hot and she was a bad ass cop..... but she ain't no Buffy! We just needed a transition of blonde badass to get through until Angel found his own group of friends to back him up. There just was no where for her character to go. Oh well.

For Kate: I think I'm the only one in this thread who didn't like her. I don't know, there was just something about her.
