Hi all,

for many weeks now i'm looking for ways to get the album CDs of some bands from Buffy.
All information about those bands i assembled from various tracklists, though i can't confirm if those infos are even correct.
There are no alive websites, myspace accounts or offered items on Amazon, Ebay od CDBaby. Google isn't of much help either.
Quite the nuts to crack.

Those are the bands in question:

Act of faith ("Bring me on" from the album "Scream" 1997 in Buffy 2x05 Reptile Boy)
Every bit of nothing ("Slip Jimmy" from the album "Austamosta" 1998 in Buffy 3x06 Band Candy)
Spectator pump ("Priced 2 move" in Buffy 3x16 Doppelgangland and "Sunday mail" in Buffy 3x21 Graduation Day Part 1, both tracks from the album "Styrofoam Archives")

ANY additional info would be of help at this point ...

Have you tried looking on the websites of some stores that sell CDs? It's a long shot but occasionally if you try that you can find the CD...or at least find some more information on the band. If that doesn't work you could try iTunes; you can download whole CDs from there...Sure you don't get the booklet you'd get with a regular CD or anything but you can download to a disc and use it just as easily. If neither of those work, I'm really not sure.

Yep,

already done that as a very desperate move.

Itunes: Noting
Napster: Noting again
Rhapsody: more of nothing
emusic: well, you get my point 😉

There are some infos available via google, but they are from the last millenium (i'd never have guessed i'd say that some day).
All links are dead, the indie labels out of business and the bands disappeared.

Well, did i mention this was a very hard nut to crack ? 😉

Edit: i should mention, i already have the tracks in question from the old buffy irc channels, i'm really looking to get my hands on the actual CDs.

Sorry, nothing again.

I very much doubt, any mainstream shop has those cds.

Perhaps some small "rare and obscure cd shop" in Hongkong, probably without website ... 😉

Just an idea don't know if you've tryed but maybe Amazon or Ebay.

Worth a try I guess if you haven't already.

A long shot, but are they used in any Youtube videos? because then you could use something like Zamzar to get the audio track.

Lets assume for a moment, somewhere in the (near) future there might be a release of a Buffy - Angel soundtrack compilation somewhere, that has almost every (available) song, track and score from the series included, most of them as 320 kbit mp3.

Lets further assume, almost every album that has been used in building this compilation would be available even really, really rare ones.

Which 12 albums (i call it the "dirty dozen albums") would you want to be included as goodies in this hypothetical soundtrack ?

All hypotheticly of course, because i'm simply curious ... :: vampire
