I always loved Cordy. I love the way she evolved so much. In the begining she was so stuck up and not about doing anything to help others. She was totaly funny from the begining to her end. I loved when buffy was reading her mind and she said exactly what she though. I love that. I do look up to her because i used to be exactly like she was in the begining. I was so stuck up and thought life was about designer labels and expensice things.

Wesley: "So why wont you have sex with him?"
Cordy: "Cause I might loose my visionitity."
Wesley: "Ok...If that is what you want to call it."
Cordy: "VISION-itity"

SPANGEL HOTNESS!!!!!!!!!
I hated Cordelia in the beginning- she was my least favorite television character *ever*. I'm still amazed at how much I came to love her, to the point where I can now see the good in her in the Buffy years too.

And I definitely look up to her! The way she grows up is really inspirational- reminds you that people can change like that in real life too. Also, I have bad social anxiety disorder and I would love to be able to speak my mind like she does.

Cordy grew on me in Angel, but she's nowhere near my favorite character. I was a little wishy washy on how fast she grew up -- emotionally, and even physically because dang, that short hair made her look older... but I guess Cordelia was becoming a woman, as opposed to still being a high school girl.

The thing I liked most about her was her inability to give up her visions. She wanted to help people.

What really makes me love Cordy is how genuine she is. If she was a stuck up biotch, then she was going to be straight about it. 😀 She was always honest and you could tell that she wasn't ever pretending to be anything other than what she was. Which is why I hate Angel S4's
evil, manipulative
Cordy. I wouldn't mind an
evil
, as long as she was straight about it. 😀

Yup! Straight, evil Cordy ;)
Cordy was quite a character! When I think of her, I just can't think anything else that "She is so REAL". Not as in "so-real-I-can-so-relate-to-her" but as in "She is who she is, she always speaks her mind (as in Earshot :giggle🙂".
I love when she opens up to Buffy for the first time, when she says that people are so busy agreeing with her they don't actually listen".
I love when she decides to date Xander no matter what, because she loves him (and the speech she makes to Harmony, the whole "you're a sheep and I'm not" is priceless).
She was also truely in love with Xander, before it was official- I'm always touched when Xander wants his necklace back and she pretends it is in her locker when she's actually wearing it.

I was sad when Xander cheated on her, you could see how hurt she was that the guy she had given everything up for had betrayed her..

She is also someone you can count on. In Helpless, she immediately understands that Buffy is desperate and mad after Giles and you can see on Cordy's face that quick look of pure compassion.
Always amazes me to see how kind she can be sometimes.

Oh and, she's funny, but I don't think she's aware of that, but some of her quote are just...You know :giggle: "Gee Giles, one day you will wake up in a coma!"

AND, in "Homecoming", the Queen C-speech that she makes in the end is EPIC!

I think I really like her character!:biggrin3:

aw great post. Cordy <3
I like her humor the best. Both Cordy and Xander always pull off so many jokes and even though most of them are lame, they give the episodes a certain charm. I also find her development through the series quite amazing, especially when she joins Angel in his series. She is that type of character you always dislike in the start, but eventually turns into a character you wouldn't be without. It felt like Anya took Cordelia's place when she left, but I think I like Cordy better. I miss her in the later Buffy seasons.

Cordelia's One Of My Favorite Characters 🙂 I Liked Her In Both Angel/Bufy 🙂

I like Cordy as a character on "BtVS", but as a person, I really like her on "Angel", she's really sweet. Kinda weird.

Cordelia is definately one of the best characters of Buffy-verse, she's so unique and she developed the most throughout the show. I'm one of the few that hates seasons 4 and 5 of Angel mostly because I'm a big Cordy fan.

Cordelia is my second favorite character in the entire Buffyverse I love her character development, and watching her journey. I love going back and watching her be her snarky High school self and then seeing her wonderfully warm, loving character on Angel. I love all aspects of Cordy.

Charisma is a wonderful actress and I'll never get tired of praising her.

I love Cordelia, and I love how much faith and respect Charisma had for Cordelia, I feel like it really showed in her acting and portrayal of the character. I liked Cordelia in high school, she could be a bit of a bitca, yeah, but she was never outwardly malicious, she had a certain... niceness to her evilness... Haha, okay that sounds stranger written down then in my head.

I liked seeing her grow as a person throughout Angel as well, I love that they maintained her Cordelia-esque-ness as well, somehow they managed to show that people could grow while keeping their character and original appeal. Something that we should all aim for in life.

This Year's Girl
Totally agree. <3
Totally agree. I loved Cordy from the start. It was so refreshing to see a mean girl who didnt just have looks but brains and wits too. She was great from beginning to end (and what an end! <3)

Oh and blixten reminded me of another thing that I loved about cordy - her intelligence. Remember she kicked arse at her SATs and she turned round and said she always covered up her brilliance? Okay, probably not a good thing to be teaching kids (being ashamed of intelligence) but still cool that she was smart nonetheless!

I loved that about her! One of my favourite Cordy mini moments:

Cordelia (about the SATs): Actually, I'm looking forward to it. I do well on standardized tests. [everyone gives her a look] What? I can't have layers?

That was so great about her - her layers! 🙂

Thanks for sharing the quote. Plus I love your banner. That is beautifull
I've always looked up to Cordy. Both as a Character and as a human being.
I just love that's she's herself and she doesn't try to be anything else but herself. And I think that's a really good message to send to people and to teens everywhere. I also love that she loves herself. For me I have major self esteem issues, and am always constantly hating myself. So I look up to her ability to be herself and love herself for who she is.
But at the same time she recognizes her mistakes. Like being a bitch in high school and stuff.
There are a million other reasons why I look up to Cordelia Chase and why I love her so much. Like the fact that she wants to keep her Visions. Her strength and her love for Angel, not just as a lover or a friend. But something way deeper and more untouchable than anything I've seen on television or film for a long time.

Although if this role was given to someone else, I don't think I would've loved this character as much as I do. Charisma has a way of portraying this character. Like she knows how awesome she is. I just can't see anyone else being Cordelia Chase except for Charisma Carpenter.

It's so weird to talk about a character like this. I really do talk about her like she's my best friend or my sister. She really is somebody I admire. And, no she may not be a real actual person, but to me, she is!!!

She IMO is the best creation Joss Whedon ever made including Cangel. And that's why I've lost alot of respect for him. For doing what he did to her. For raping her and then killing her. Just like that. It just hurts a lot, for someone who's been watching these shows since I was six years old!!!!

Go Cordelia Chase!!!!

Go Charisma Carpenter!!!!

Go C.C.!!!!!!

Go Cangel!!!!

CORDY ROX!!!!!!

{Inspirational Cordy line}

"It's not the pain. It's the helplessness. The certainty that there is nothing you can do to stop it, that your life can be thrown away in an instant by someone else. He doesn't care. He'll beat you down until you stay down because he doesn't even *think* of you as alive. - No woman should ever have to go through that, and no woman strong enough to wear the mantel of 'vicious bitch' would ever put up with it. - *Where* is Billy going?"

{This line really helped me alot when I was going through some tough times when I was younger. }

Yup that's an awesome quote!

She is a really awesome character. I liked her even in Buffy, especially once she got to be with Xander and then my love for her just grew.

Like at the end of "Homecoming" when she scared a vamp off with WORDS! That was awesome.

And then in Angel, she's just wonderful. Since she turns into someone that really does want to help people. That's one of the things that I really like about AtS. A lot of the characters really do just want to help people. That's a really admirable quality and I'm glad that Cordy could become a person like that given her starting point.

It really should give everyone hope that they can become better people. That's what I take from her character anyway.
