Lorne is my new favorite!

Disclaimer: This is talking about AtS. Willow is and will forever be my favorite Whedonverse character of all time. Also, I haven't gotten to s5 yet, so please, don't tell me if Lorne dies for real.

Okay, you all know I love Angel dearly, but Lorne is amazing. He came on the show, and I was like, "Who's this weird green guy that sings a lot. Is this all he does?" I was SO wrong. I love how he can read people, literally, but he doesn't use it for the wrong reasons. (Okay, there's that one time, but he was forced.) He tries to help people.

Plus, he's hilarious. Spin the Bottle? Amazing! I loved when he talked about the great products after the commercial break. Very clever. I love how underestimated Lorne can be. Like the whole thing with evil Cordy, when Lorne went to do his "ritual" and he pulled out a magic 8 ball. (Sidenote: I wonder how long it took them to get the right answer out that that 8 ball...)

Anyone else come to love Lorne like me? I always thought Angel would be my #1 favorite, especially on his own show, since I'm such a die hard Bangel and all, but Lorne is just wonderful. He, with his ever flowing seabreeze, are a breath of fresh air on Angel. One character who's not all gloom and doom, all the time.

Lorne is definitely one of my favorite Whedonverse characters. What's not to love about him?!?!?! I also agree about how underestimated he is. I love him in the Pylea Arc 😀😀

Lorne is to AtS what Spike was in BtS- the breakout individual character who's totally original and offers a different slant on the action.

I never had a Seabreeze before I heard him talking about them and although I don't normally go in for cocktails, I do know a company which makes a Seabreeze Marmalade, which is lovely on toast. It's a bit embarrassing as a male when your drink arrives and it's bright pink!

Lorne had no problem with it! I don't like grapefruit though, so I probably wouldn't like it.

I wouldn't compare Lorne to Spike. Lorne stays himself, Spike completely does a 180.

Oh I totally agree about Spike, even though I love him. Keep watching though. There are a few good Lorne episodes in s5

Are you kidding me Jenn?! You're far from being the only one who loves Lorne. 🙂 Aweeesome character. Definitely my favorite with Cordy on AtS. He could give Buffy and Anya a run for their money when it comes to sarcasm, haha. It's a shame he wasn't part of the main crew sooner.

I'm almost at the end of season 4 so like you, I haven't watched Angel season 5 yet and JUST like you I found myself thinking: I LOVE LORNE!!!! He's so funny and really sweet, he has some of the best lines and always manage to bring a smile to my face. And he sings beautifully...what could be better than that? I think he may be my second favorite character from Angel (besides Angel himself).

He's super sweet, he helps when he can, and tries to help even though he can't.
I love the fact that he's different from the rest of his kind (his mother is hilarious!) and that he loves human things like drinks, music, this world itself, etc.
