Has anyone seen the new Lord of the Rings movie? I saw it several days ago and it was really good! I love Ian McKellen and I'm so happy that Gandalf is back! 😀 It was kind of hard for me to enjoy the movie, though, since there was a 3 year old and 5 year old in back of me kicking my chair, screaming, and talking throughout the whole movie. It's very inconsiderate of the parents, and besides its a pg-13 movie! It's pretty gory for little kids. They were screaming whenever the orcs (sp?) were onscreen. Anyways, I'm going to see it again with my parents so I can actually enjoy it.

Thoughts, comments? 😉

I saw it, did enjoy it but found it a bit boring. Yes its good but sooooooo long, they could have cut a hr out of it IMO. I'm not usually into these sorta films either, i started chattin to adam after a hr cos i got so bored. The special effects are alright, thought the tree people were shocking. All in all i preferred it to the 1st one and it was good to watch.

I just saw it yesterday and I thought it was great! And Orlando Bloom was so hot! As was Elijah woods. They just look better and better everytime I see them. The tree people were cool too. I like that Merry and Pippin had such a bid role in this one. They really stood out as their own characters and not as just back-up. But Gollum was kinda freaky. I think that he needs to get some serious psychological help. jk 😀

Yeah, Gollum is definitely schizophrenic. I love Pipin! He's so cool and he has the sexiest accent. (I've got a thing for cool accents.) 😉 I can't believe we have to wait another year for the third one... I could read the books to find out what happens, but I'm just too lazy. I've been reading other stuff. 😀

I havn't seen it yet but it looks to be good, although I have to admit that from the previews it looks like there's more changes from the book :\
oh well, can't expect to much I guess, IMO it doesn't really lend it'self very well to hollywood.
Charlie Angel>> I take it you havn't read the book? for me the first one flew along so fast, I'd be thinking "OK, this happens now. Oh, hmmm... looks like we just skipped 4 chapters and we're over here now" and I can't imagine the second one being any different.
anyways, we shall see...

I saw it yesterday.

First off it's an almighty MMMMMMMMMMMMMMM.... for Aragorn!!!! He was soooo cute! Also Gilmi was so funny! Orli had even more bow skill and made me smile.

*lmao* The bit with Gollum telling 'him' to go away... awwww how cute!!!

I was cursing at Gandalf because I thought he was Sauroman at first *lmao*

Needless to say... I'm going again! *lol* Hopefully next tme i'll use the loo before... I made myself sit for 3 hours squirming! *lmao* Mesa was not going to miss a bit!!!

I saw it, and I liked it a lot. I'm a really big fan of the books, and the movie strayed quite a bit from the books, but it was still great. Gollum was unbelievable, even brilliant. The ents were OK, Gimli was pretty funny, and Helms Deep was awesome.

Yeah, his accent is so right for his character. I liked the interaction between Gimli and Legolas also. But they cut out a lot of scenes from the book that I think they should have added.
Like the part in the movie with the battle at Helms Deep when Gimli and Legolas were trying to beat each other by killing the most orcs, they only said something about it once, but in the book they kept on keeping score and Legolas was always ahead of Gimli making him mad. I also like the part where Gimli told Aragorn to toss him. LOL, remember from the first movie when Gimli told Aragorn "You never toss a Dwarf!"? And then in this one he told Aragorn to toss him? That was hilarious! And then he was like: "Don't tell the Elf" meaing Legolas and Aragorn just said "not a word" and then tossed him across. It was so funny! Ok, I'm done now. 😀

I loooooooooooove this movie. The beginscene of Gandalf was so awesome, the Helms Deep battle was so cool --> the contest between Gimli and Legolas, the tossingscene, skatescene of Legolas and the death of Haldir (this was pretty sad). I loved Gollem. Sometimes he was so scary and sometimes so cute and sweet. The scene of the forbidden pool where he was singing was so adorable. The scene of Legolas with the horse was amazing--> everyone in the room was like 'damn how the hell did he do that?' The trees were nice and at the end where they were throwing rock etc was also cool. The deathscene of Aragorn and Arwen was so sad.... I want to see this movie again 😀

I've seen it twice. I love it, so much. I think it's friggin' amazing. And I am in LOVE with Orlando Bloom. He was sosososo hot in this one. I thought that the movie NEEDED to be as long as it was, and I didn't find it boring. I felt like I couldn't turn my head, or I would miss something important. I can't wait for the next one. I've never read the books, so I'm interested in seeing who 'She' is that Gollum/Smeagol (who was hilarious, btw) was talking about.. hmm..

It did stray from the book quite a bit, Waylander, so my friends have told me. I haven't read the books m'self, but I will when I get around to it. 😉 There are some things in the book though that just seem they wouldn't go over well on the big screen. Especially for the average person- keep in mind the average person is pretty darn stupid. 😀

hehehe I've read the book 9 times 😀
and yeah I know, like I said before it's not a book which lends itself to a hollywood movie. his style of writing is much more like the classical myth of homer then a modern fantasy story. anyways, I'm still glad they made it. seeing it tomorrow at 6pm 😀

I saw last Thursday and it was great. I didn't think it was long, but I'm really into epic movies. And it was so funny cause at the beginning when the head orc guy is all like I smell manflesh then they have shots of Aarogon and Legolas I turned to Chirs and told him that I'd like a piece of that man flesh. Chris gets really disgusted with me at movies, I wonder why? I never read the books, well I tried but the first one was just so boring to me, and I have the attention span of a goldfish which doesn't help I'm sure. And Ian McKellen was back, he's so cool. My mother finds it amusing that I like him so much, but he's so great. I think its funny how he has that really young boyfriend and he's just like yeah, I'm really gay now I'm going on a ski trip with my very yong boyfriend. Ian McKellen is just so cool. The only thing I didn't like is how they kinda jumped from story line to story line but I understand that all the fellowship was broken and they kinda had to, but the next they should be meeting up again, right. I liked Gollum and I thought that the CGI work was very well done, I just hate it when its so blatently CGI and ruins the movie. Like the the Mummy Returns with the Scorpion King at the end, that bit. And I also love Sean Astin, well not when he's so chunky like, but more when he was in Rudy. But it was so funny because Sean was on Jay Leno and he was talking about how Peter Jackson got mad at him because he was seen at a gym or playing tennis or something wiht the caption of trying to loose his LotR weight. It was really cute.

Well, I've seen it and damn it kicks arse. but damn PJ took some artistic licence 🙁
I could hardly believe how much me changed things around, the one that really got me was Farimar, he seemed so bad in the movie! in the book he was just about the nicest guy around, he just helped Frodo and Sam and let them go, he never took them to Osgiliath. anyways, enough of my grouching it was still great 🙂

legolas and aragorn are both extremely yummy. Legolas and his bow skills were fab, no i haven't read the book, haven't really got the patience. Gollum was v cute tho.

I haven't read the books but I thought it was fantastic! I liked the first one but this one is SO much better! Aragorn was soooo gorgeous & in this film I thought Legolas was dead sexy too! Gollum and Gimli were both hilarious!

Well, I saw it a second time with my parents and my sister and I thought I got even more out of it this time. I think I've finally got the names down... Lol 😀

I saw this movie and am in love with it!!! My favorite characters are Arwen(could ya tell?!) and Gollum. Who doesn't love Gollum?! He's cute and...uh... a little on the odd side, but he's just too cute! I think the movie had amazing scenes in it and other things like that! I think it's already nominated for the Golden Globe's best director and best film. By far the coolest!:: tu ::
