An interesting day yesterday- a group of us from work went to the main cemetery in Leeds to spend a day on a community project, digging out the borders of the plots which had become clogged with mud. There were some really unusual Victorian monuments in there and there's a lot of the city's history.

And today- well, ever have one of those days when it feels as if everybody is trying to get you to do their work for them as well as their own?

Apparently so, as it's about an hour past their bedtime and they're still awake. Just had another fire call and the local siren went off. It's never bothered them before, but tonight they both freaked out and started screaming. *sigh* And now the husband is gone again. 🙁

Just done my feminist deed for the day- I was in the supermarket getting my weekly supplies and noticed that the magazine rack had a section marked "Women's Interests" with the usual trashy celeb magazines and so on.

So I moved a copy of New Scientist right above where it said "Women's Interests".

Went to do a little shopping with my mom.

Bad thing is my thigh is killing me since yesterday, so I had to rent a wheelchair

Funny thing is everyone kept starring at us because my mom (who has white hair) was pushing me (the 21-years-old girl). If I had a dollar for every person that judged us today, I would be rich XD

I really cant wait for a week on Wednesday, the Olympic Torch is coming past my work so we get 2 hours off and a barbeque so we can go and watch it 😀

I've spent most of today trying to shift a cold which I seem to have caught over the last few days and I seem to be getting somewhere at last! Also started watching 'The Bridge' (yes, that's 'Bron' to the Swedes!) which is pleasantly involving and has a central female character who isn't defined by her being a woman.

So I'm sitting here sick in bed and I'm so not tired yet. Anyone have any banner suggestions for me? I have fanart block!

Oh and to all the people that I was discussing nail mixing with - I have successfully managed to do so without causing to much mess and with results I'm super happy with! I'm so glad I have managed to beat the pastel fad that has taken over without wasting money and without adding to my already stupid nail polish collection!

Obviously I added the bling to the top, but it gives you an idea of just how much you can change a colour!

So I am not feeling very well today. 😛 I have plans to go to the lake today with a friend but I think they're gonna cancel on me... Again. 🙁

So did anyone see the solar eclipse last night? I missed it. :/

I didn't see the eclipse. Mainly because it was already dark in the UK when it happened. 😛
