....ain't nothing but a number...or is it the most important factor when deciding your target...

this comes up constantly in buff...but i wanna hear what yall think is cool in real life...i mean...its not a everday occurence when a 200 year old looks like david boreanaz...

what is the maximum age difference, that should be allowed in your mind...when one of the partners is still in high school and isn't a senior...

3 years...5 years...let them be cool...let them be cool but place restrictions...what??

Hm, when a guy in my class (12th grade) started dating a girl in 8th grade I thought that was the weirdest thing ever and was like "eeeww".. But that was only because they're both in my school. Seriously, I usually don't care, at all. I react if I see a 17 year old with a 30 year old, of course I do.. But it's really their business and I know nothing about their relationship and so on.. so I wouldn't judge.. Ok I would judge but only because I tend to do that before I know what it's really about.. So really, just let people do what they want sa long as they're both happy about it. (But I think it's not that common with good relationships with that big age difference but.. yeah.. another story..)

lol...that was completely honest...
At the moment I'm in a long distance relationship with someone older than me..sure..sometimes it's a lil strange...we're worried what our friends and families might say(OK I'm mostly worried bout it..he's pretty laid back). As long as 2 people have a lot in common and feel good bout each other and both are of legal age if they want to move things furtehr I see no problem really

I'm not exactly the judgy type, so I'm only speaking for myself here. But I don't have much faith in relationships with big age difference cause I've been in one and it didn't work out at all. Okay, so the relationship was very shallow and mostly carnal, but when it wasn't we totally clashed. This was two years ago and I wasn't as mature as I am today, of course. I'm not sure what the worse part of the relationship was, if the fact that I hadn't lived and experienced as much as her, or the fact that she could make fun of me for being young, like "oh, you couldn't know about that, you're too young to even understand."

So I say Nay for my part. But other people can do whatever they want to as long as no one gets hurt or abused.

You mentioned interesting points here :)
Actually I'm v.mature for my age..and I have trouble with communicating with my peers..with him it's soo easy..sure..he has more life experince and all but it is me reminding him each day to take his meds and make nother appointment with a doc..so far it's working for us..and I really don't care how much older he is

My grandfather was 11 years older than my grandmother, but it was a different time back then. I think it all comes down to the individuals themselves. As long as one is not under the statutory age limit then I don't see the problem.

I think it's pretty much just a number (as long as, as Faith said, there are no statutory concerns going on).

For me, for a long time I would never consider dating someone younger than myself, but after meeting someone younger that I really got along well with it made me change my mind. I think it has to do more with having the same maturity level rather than the same numerical age. Because I think I am less mature than other people my age lol, I can click with someone younger. There is definitely an age limit - I'd say probably 33 but it's really more like no one 30 and over.

The highest i have dated to is 18, im 16. Id say i look for no higher than over 22 then its a bit creepy.. but am sure it'll change when am older..

I think, as long as you're older, the max age gap is 10 years.

I mean, for me personally, I'd rather have someone closer to my age, someone who grew up in the same time period that I did, so we could share experiences and all that malarky (hehe, funny word) but I know that other people are happy with their 'toy-boys' or 'mature woman' so, whatever makes someone happy, Im cool with...

Umm I've always dated in my age range... I was a senior in high school, and I was dating a freshman, and some people thought that was weird... Its only 4 years... But the thing is, right then, it was weird... People tend to see younger age differences as odd... Like 19 and 15... Odd... But when its older like, 28 and 32... Not odd at all... Its all withing the "time"... At almost 21, I wouldn't date very much older, if at all... Maybe 23... Youngest would be 18... Doesn't feel right... I've done the older thing when I was 18, and she was 25... And that worked, but it ended... And not because of the age... Different things... But yea... I wouldn't do that anymore... I like being the older one 😛

I think it's okey with an age difference, for me age has never really been a big issue. I've always had friends both much younger and older than me, mostly older though. But my boyfriend that I have now is older, and it works fine. We have been together for almost two years now. But I can still be very judging to other couples with age differences, though I know I shouldn't.

Tis my opinion here, as long as it's both consentual (and legal) 🙂

Hubby of mine...well he is 6 years my junior. When we started dating, he was 21, I was 27. We didn't find out the age difference until we had been dating for about a month. And he thought I was 24, and I thought he was 25-26 (as I look very young for my age and he definitely does not act his age).

And it all worked out for us...so I think age is irrelevant..it's all about who you fall in love with, and who says they have to be your age. I personally think a little bit of age difference can be beneficial, different experiences and such.

i am a person who is a strong believer in age is just a number because i know a 15 year old who is in love with a 32 yr old and they seem so happy why split them up? Because if you look strongly at age you might just pass up the love of your life time i'm 16 and happily engaged to a 22 year old guy. I love him for him and my parents respect that

I married somebody 14 years older than me. We have been together since I was 25.
