There's probably a zillion threads regaurding the different couples of Buffy/Angel, but I couldn't find any 😛 So if there is one, could someone link me? 🙂

Couples I Love to bits:
::heart::Xanya - My favorite couple, also the longest lasting. They weren't just love, and they weren't just sex...they were both. Plus, they were hilarious, and showed you can be in a happy relationship. I just grew to love 'em!

::heart::Tillow - Adorable! They were one of the happiest couples I think, and were perfect together, IMO. They were kinda my safe place in s6 when things would get bad, they still loved eachother. They eventually got back together of course (love Tara's speech in Entropy!). But then the bloody writers killed her 🙁

Couples I can't stand: (not meant to offend anyone who loves these couples)
Bangel - I find them so boring! It was like the same thing everyday with them. "I can't be with you because it'll hurt us both more...but I want to be with you! Let's make it work!" Also I find it so creepy how he watched her from outside in the flashback in Becoming. I find it creepy that he watches her at all...like in Pangs or where ever. Just creeps me out.

What are some of your favorite, or least favorite couples?

Karma for a great thread title!
I suppose you could say I'm fond of Bangel... or you could say I am a toatal fanatic! either or will do! Simply put...Forbidden love of all time.Love em!

I also really liked Xander and Cordy together, so much fire, passion and the banter was a joy to watch! Really would have liked to see them together again, as grown ups.

Willow and Oz were another favourite of mine. I loved high school Willow and Oz just the cutest thing ever.

Tillow! my first and still primary ship of any show. Her and Oz were cute together too and its cute watching Seasons 2 and 3 with them together. But Tillow forever 😀

Years ago when I started watching Buffy it was in Season 2, so I do like Bangel and got all emotional when I first saw "I Will Remember You" in August.

Xander and Anya...well put it this way, in Farscape I watched Moya's pregnancy arc like a soap fanatic with far more interest than this plot. Just never got into it.

Bangel props!
As much as I liked both Xander with Anya and Angel with Cordy, I must admit that there was much more displayed passion between Xander and Cordy. I know Anya was constantly going on about all the orgasms, but they seldom even kissed on screen, and when they did, there was just no fire there.

Willow and Tara had to be the most devoted relationship in the series. Oz just always seemed too restrained before the wolf, and even after the wolf, there just wasn't any real passion there. He and Willow reminded me of an old married couple, totally at ease with other and completely in sync, but the fire went out years ago.

Giles and Jenny Calender was starting to be a really hot affair as she began to either pry Ripper back out of the reserved Watcher he had become or simply awaken passion and first love in a stogy middle aged librarian (take your pick, either one works).

And then we come to the single most passionate, fiery relationship in the entire seven years of the show. The introduction of the character of Spike into the series, more importantly the decision to not stake him in the beginning, and to develope him into the character he ultimately became, was pure genius on someone's part. Even when they were enemies, the passion absolutely dripped off of both of them every time they shared the screen. As enemies, reluctant allies, captor and captive, begrudging partners in battle, friends, lovers, and finally as two warriors sharing a love forged in the furnace of respect, camaraderie, need, and sheer animal passion and tempered by trust and genuine selfless concern, one for the other, they generated enough combined heat to be the major cause for global warming. Buffy will probably always be Angel's girl, but she will forever and always be Spike's Lady, and he will always be her Champion. Anything else is just a poor substitute for the real thing.

Re Buffy/Spike: couldn't have said it better!
I'm a big spuffy lover, so thats definitely my favourite buffy relationship.. Though actually thinking about it now, Willow and Oz were pretty darn cute so that couple ranks high too!

I thought Fred and Gunn were pretty cute in angel too, and Wesley and Fred.. though that wasn't really a relationship 'cause as soon as it took off Fred died :'(

I never liked buffy and angel together, i never really got into it and felt for them.. So I'm glad when he left sunnydale! So the couple i can't stand 😛 Bangel! (gr)

1. I love Bangel (look at my username!) I just thought they were sooo cute! like keonite said, i love forbidden love, i find it so beautiful!

2. Tillow- Tara and Willow were meant for eachother! They were one of the happiest couples and i wish Tara could have stayed longer!!

I hated Spuffy! I found it really disturbing. Buffy never really loved him!! grrr.... no offense anybody!
And i also hated Riley/Buffy! Not really sure why but I was never fond of Riley!

Hmmm....there are so many different couples in the Buffyverse.

The one that I love the most though just has to be Joyles (Joyce/Giles). People argue that it only lasted for one episode, but if you look carefully, it lasts a lot longer than that (both before and after. I could go into pointing these out, but we'll be here all day so I'll save you the pain), even if neither pursue it (For reasons including embarrassment, awkwardness, and that five-letter reason called Buffy). Any suggestions of this couple within in the series kinda make my heart do the tv-flutter thing (The one saved for TV romances obviously).

Close second is Xanya though. They started off as comic relief with a healthy sex drive, but ove the seasons became so much more which I think might have been a surprise to the writers as well. They were just wonderful together, and Hell's Bells still gets me a mixture of heartbroken and annoyed.

Karma for the Joyles love! And maybe your theories on the before and after Band Candy moments deserve a Joyles thread of their own? Hint. Hint. Nudge. Nudge. lol.
I hated Spuffy! I found it really disturbing. Buffy never really loved him!! grrr.... no offense anybody!

Buffy said she loved him two times that I can think of. One of them in Chosen and the other earlier in the season when she said, "Why does everyone think I'm still in love with Spike?" Disturbing or not she did love him at one time or the other.

Anyway, my favorite ship is Cangel. Even though they never really happened, I love the way they grew from strangers, to Cordelia having a crush on him, to friends, to best friends, and then eventually to two people who love each other. Too bad, she died and they could never act on that love.

I'm not going to post couples I don't like, because it'll just 'cause major arguements [Probably]
But Couples I love:
Xanya [Xander *&&* Anya]
Willara [Willow *&&* Tara]
Spuffy [Spike *&&* Buffy]
Fresley [Fred *&&* Wesley]
Cangel [Cordy *&&* Angel]

Oh, wait actually, I'll say ONE couple I can't stand: Wennedy [Down with Kennedy >.<]

Kemy

Down with Kennedy!
Tueuse de Vampires
Tueuse de Vampires
Cangel 4 life!
I forgot to mention Cangel lol! Love them! And Fred/Wesley! Those are about my only Angel ships 😛

Buffy obsessed fan - Yes, down with Kennedy! After rewatching it though...I can't really find a reason besides the fact she replaced Tara lol. Also she was a bitca and all that, IMO. But still...I think I only hate her cause she's not Tara. Darn, now I don't have any reasons to back up my opinion 😛

Am I the only one that can't stand and refuses to use the cutesy little contractions for the couples? Maybe I'm getting old or something.

Anyway...my favorite ship is Angel/Cordy. It was Angel/Buffy until I really started watching Angel and the more I watched the two together the more I loved them, even though they never actually got together.

I did like Cordy with Xander, too...talk about opposites attract, lol. Xander and Anya were pretty funny together, too.

Spike and Buffy were interesting in that they had a very disturbed relationship instead of just the normal cutesy ones like everyone else.

The ones I never cared for were Willow and Tara. They were just too...googely eyed all the time and it bugged me for some reason. They got better towards the end once Tara started standing up to Willow and asserting herself.

I never liked Fred/Gunn, either. I just didn't feel it. I liked Fred with Wesley better. Or even more interesting was Wes and Illyria.

Oh and Joyce and Giles together: loved it. Even after they weren't under that spell you could see the attraction between them yet they refused to admit it. They were cute together and it drove Buffy nuts because it made her two worlds collide.

karma for the Joyce/Giles mentioning! Teehee. And in case you hadn't realized; I agree. hehe
My favorite ships are Cordy/Angel and Buffy/Spike. I know a lot of people say Angel and Buffy were just meant to be together, really perfect for each other, but just couldn't be together. What about Cordy/Angel? That 'relationship' was much deeper. Although they never 'really' got together (bound to certain circumstance which just happen to be the reasons for me disliking Angel S4) you could feel this strong chemistry between them. And they were a lot closer then Buffy ever got with Angel. I mean on a non-physical level.
Same goes for Buffy and Spike, they really worked to get along. I mean, Spike even got a soul for Buffy.
Don't get my wrong, I also love Buffy/Angel, but this relationship never went as deep as Cangel and Spuffy.

Buffy/Spike - It was the most raw relationship in either show. It was brutal, it was heartbreaking and more importantly it was the most potent relationship in the show for representing realism and some great metaphors.

Fred/Wesley - As soon as they can realise the true love, she dies. It's the sort of irony that Joss pulls off so well.

Spike/Angel - What, they NEVER experimented?

Karma for Fresley. LOVE them two. Such a shame they were only together one ep...*sob*

Actually, I think Angelus would have used sex as an ultimate form of domination over Spike. As for ANGEL and Spike, I really don't think so.
I love Bangel. I like angsty, romantic couples.

I hate Cangel. Cordy and Angel feel wrong together. I think they work better as friends.
