I have got to agree with Batty Angel was/ is the love of Buffy's life and no one has or will ever come close cause the were great together same with Angel.
 
As much as i loved Buffy and Spike together, i voted Angel...it wasn't really love with b/s, but with Angel it was true love 🙂
 
I don't think she went really well with Riley but he was so annoying that I started thinking wow they are so cute together.lol. Angel was really good but aI don't think the Spike relationship would go very far if Buffy and Spike took it one step furter
 
Angel is definitely, without a doubt Buffy's true love.
 
Definitely Angel. Not Spike(it's all about sex all the time isn't it?) and definitely not Riley!

Spike and buffys relationship is basically built on sexual tension and lust aint it?
 
Spike! in the beginning Buffy didn't even like Angel, Cordy did and they got hooked up, they were kinda ment to be. So Buffy will have to find a new one and Spike is really a good guy and he's willing to tread her like a queen all she has to do is just be a little decend! (otherwise he'll rape her)
 
IT'S Angel. it is really weird to see them with somebody else, it seemes so wrong. callingher to hear her voice but hanging up just to not hurt her in "the city of angels" was real sweet.

Riley was the safe option someone she could trust and count on and Spike was a sort of escape from reality and someone to relive her of the sexual tension.

It´s a hard choice , ´cause i agree that angel/Buffy was real love too ... deep love - but maybe not the lode of her live ...
It was definetly not riley - i think he was just an intermezzo - sorry but i think he´s just dumb ..
Well i´ll stay with it - Spike ... the way she talks to him , she looks at him , she kisses him , she .. 😀 ::love::
 
Although I am a MAJOR Spuffy supporter, her true love is Angel. She loves Spike and could be happy with him (if she'd admit the truth!) but she her true love is Angel. The one you can never have is always the one you truly want.
 
Angel was her first love, and will always be special (as first loves always should be)...but Buffy and Angel have both moved on and changed. Their time is gone...Angel should be with Cordy and Buffy should be with her new love, SPIKE.
 
Angel wasn't her first love, there was this guy from L.A. he came back for one episode in the beginning of S2, besides there was this guy from "Never Kill a Guy on the First Date" ... though he died rather quickly!
 
angel was her first true love, because she left taylor (form the movie) and billy forden didnt love her back, (thats what i think) angel only left because he had to, buffy got bored with her first boyfriend, so i dont think that that can be called true love.

Buffy and angel forever no one comes close
