Can you think of anytimes when a character says something moving to someone or something loving, like Xander to Anya in Into The Woods. If you know of any decent ones say here, and if you can post what is said! 😀

First thing that came to mind was the Gift.

Just watched it the otherday.

Anyways, Buffy's last words to Dawn are just so beautiful. And the moment when she jumps off the tower, is what I believe, to be the most touching, loving and moving moment of the Buffyverse.

One of my favourites is from the first episode of S.2 (can't remember the name). After Willow and the others are taken by the vamps and Buffy comes back to the library to find Xander bloodied up and he turns to Baffy and says, "If they hurt Willow, I'll kill you." That was an awesome line delivered with such emotion. Definitely a favourite.

Re:

One of the first ones that came to mind (although there were many more) was Willow in "New Moon Rising":

"I was waiting. I feel like some part of me will always be waiting for you. Like if I'm old and blue-haired, and I turn the corner in Istanbul and there you are, I wont be surprised. Because....you're with me"

Okay, i couldn't decide:

  • The end of "Lie to Me" when Buffy stakes Ford without looking back, while pleading for a promise that life gets easier
  • Buffy's dialogue with Jonathan at the end of "Earshot", culminating in the most amazing line: "you think it's quiet down there. It's not. It's deafening."
  • Buffy's tirade tro Angel when he tries to killhimself in "Amends"
  • Anya's monologue in the body, when she bursts out that she just "doesn't understand" how Joyce can be gone
  • Xander's "Potential Speach" when he tells Dawn she's extraordinary
  • Anya's speach to Andrew right before the last apocalypse, when she explains her reasons for staying

Good picks Eset, and the rest of the them too. Thanks for the memories. I would add to the list:

* Willow and Tarah's dance in Family.
TARAH
How do you do that?
WILLOW
Magic.

* Buffy and Giles conversation in the car at the end of Innocence

GILES
No. I don't believe it is. Do you want me to wag my finger at
you and tell you that you acted rashly? You did. And I can. I know
that you loved him. And... he... has proven more than once that he loved
you. You couldn't have known what would happen. The coming months are going to be hard... I, I suspect on all of us, but... if it's guilt you're looking for, Buffy, I'm, I'm not your man. All you will get from me is, is my support. And my respect.

* Buffy and Willow on the bed at the end of Same Time. Same Place

Willow leans forward again, sighing, to begin meditating again.

BUFFY
I thought you were too tired.

WILLOW
It hurts too much not to try.

BUFFY
I'm sorry.

WILLOW
It just takes so much strength. I don't have that much.

BUFFY
I got so much strength, I'm giving it away.

WILLOW
Are you sure?

BUFFY
Will it help?

WILLOW
Much.

Buffy sits cross-legged in front of Willow and holds her hands. They meditate together.

BUFFY
Good.

Buffy and Giles graveyard discussion in "Lie to Me"

Giles and Buffy's talk at the end of "Innocence"

Giles' forgiveness speech in "I Only Have Eyes For You"

Spike's "love's *****" speech in "Lover's Walk"

Riley's "I love you" comment to Faith/Buffy in "Who Are You"

Joyce and Buffy's talk about Dawn in "Listening to Fear"

Riley and Spike's conversation in "Fool For Love"

Buffy's "blood" comment to Dawn in "Blood Ties"

Xander's marriage proposal to Anya in "The Gift"

Buffy and Spike's soliquoys in "Afterlife"

Anya's wedding speech in "Hells Bells"

Spike's revelation about his soul in "Beneath You" (first place)

Buffy and Willow's conversation in "Same Time, Same Place"

Buffy's "I believe in you" speech to Spike in "Never Leave Me"

Xander's speech to Dawn in "Potential"

Spike's speech to Buffy in "Touched"

Buffy and Faith's "superchicks" talk in "End of Days"

If we're including Angel, I'd have to put up
  • Darla killing herself for Connor in Lullaby
  • Angel's "Epiphany" discussion with Kate at the end
  • Angel talking to Faith in "Orpheus"
  • Wes and Illyria in NFA, first when he doesn't want her to lie, then when he does.

Here's my list.

*Buffy's 'I quit' speech in 'Prophecy Girl.
*Xander's threat to Buffy in 'When She Was Bad' ('if they hurt Willow...')
*the presentation of the Class Protector Award to Buffy in 'The Prom' (I tear up every time).
*Tara telling Willow she's hers in 'Who Are You?' (coming from such a shy character, that one word speaks volumes).
*Willow choosing Tara in 'New Moon Rising'.
*Buffy laying down the law to the Watcher's in 'Checkpoint'.
*Anya's rant about not understanding death in 'The Body' (another scene that makes me tear up, great writing and great acting).
*Spike getting back his dignity when he says Buffy treats him like a man in 'The Gift'.
*Willow's joy in restoring Tara's sanity in 'The Gift'.
*Tara's song in 'Once More With Feeling'.
*Buffy revealing where she really was in 'Once More With Feeling'.
*Xander's speech about Buffy in 'Dirty Girls'.
*Buffy explaining her plan for the Slayers in 'Chosen'.

And those were the ones just off the top of my head.
