Hi there. My name is John and I have been a Buffy fan since Blockbuster started renting the two-episode tapes that got released over here in...I want to say 1999, but can't remember for sure. The rapid descent into middle age is addling my mind. I know it was just before the BBC started airing the show from the beginning and season 2 had already aired on Sky.
I was an early member on the uk.media.tv.buffy-v-slayer usenet group and a founder member of the original buffyuk.org website, so if anyone from those good old days is on here, what's up and how's it going?
My favourite character early on was Buffy. I really enjoyed the way SMG portrayed her as the reluctant, duty-bound, flawed heroine. In later seasons I was a big fan of Tara and her character arc. I see now that it looks like I watched the show for the cute women, but that wasn't and still isn't the case. Honest!!!
My favourite season was season 5. Glory was an awesome big bad. Dammit, I picked the cute girl again. There might be something to this theory, after all.
Anywho, I kind of withdrew from the online Buffy community in 2000 but my love of the show has never diminished and now I'm back and older than ever!
Also, I am a Cancerean, enjoy long walks on the beach, beautiful sunsets and the sound of laughter.
