I like those.. and it's funny looking now that the isolationist feeling of the first icon is a direct juxtaposition of the light and happy other two. And this one:

gives me some ideas! Really good concept on that one.

I really like that it's functional white space as opposed to being strictly white space

Like the one below, feels like it's white space for the sake of white space.. while the ones above it really adds to and complements the piece.

Icons again. These icons were made for a challenge, twenty icons featuring twenty different characters and twenty different themes. It was a lot harder than it sounds, lol.

I'm not sure what it is about it, probably the use of space in fact, but that first Dawn one is amazing. I love looking at it.
Other two that really caught my eyes were Lorne and Cordy. I really do love your icons. They're simple but not, have lovely crops and colors, and seem really "momentus"... like great snapshots of an emotion.

I really like the big B in the background.. it looks 'real' like a real letter.. I had to look to check to see if it was typeface or just type.. the outline of it, and slightly blurred makes it look authentic

Most of these were done for a 'Follow the Leader' type of challenge, where one person posts the name of a character for the next person to make an icon of and then they'll give the next character - the trick is to be the fastest and post your icon before someone else, lol, so some of these might not be my best work.
